Dungeon World

Overview

Dungeon World is a tabletop fantasy roleplaying game created by Sage LaTorra and Adam Koebel. The game uses the
Powered by the Apocalypse
engine. The game is advertised as having old school style with modern rules. The game uses six ability scores (Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, Intelligence, Wisdom, Charisma) and a character class model with choices of Bard, Cleric, Fighter, Immolator, Paladin, Ranger, Thief, or Wizard.

System Overview & Key Features

Classic Fantasy Adventure Explore a land of magic and danger in the roles of adventurers searching for fame, gold, and glory. Delve into goblin holes or chance a dragon's lair. Dungeon World takes classic fantasy and approaches it with new rules.
Talk About What Matters Dungeon World's simple rules happen based on what's happening within the game, so you spend more time talking about the action and less time talking about the rules.
Gamemaster's Toolkit Running a game shouldn't be a pain. Dungeon World gives the GM all the tools to run a game quickly and easily. Fronts help you keep the world around the players living and evolving. Moves are ways to drive your game forward. And your Agenda keeps you on track.
No Dead Ends The rules always drive the action forward in unexpected ways. Rolling the dice always leads to an interesting outcome.
Award-winning Design Dungeon World has wonan Ennie for Best Rules http://www.ennie-awards.com/blog/about-us/2013-noms-and-winners-2/?ref=dungeon-world.com, a Golden Geek for Best RPG http://boardgamegeek.com/thread/886607/2012-golden-geek-awards-winners?ref=dungeon-world.com, and an Indie RPG Award.

Greetings Travelers and welcome to “Thar’ Be Trolls!” A Dungeon World campaign set in the Forgotten Realms universe. Set in the city of Nesme’ and bordered by the Lurkwoods to the northwest and the Evermoors to the east, the party will assume the role of a member of the Riders of Nesme’. Captain Hersien has a mission of utmost importance. A dangerous mission, one that would stake upon the fate of the city. I am a budding 5e DM and want to try out Dungeon World. I have two players already, one who is very experienced in the format and one who isn't. We are looking for a couple more diverse, fun, and colorful people to broaden our group. The three of us are in our 30s and would like to keep the campaign 18+. We will run it every two weeks on Sunday at 1pm. Ideal start date would be August 9th. Please feel free to ask any questions or reach out. I am trying to run this on a program on steam called Talespire that allows players to move figures around a 3d world that I have created. It is a free program for the players, and you can purchase a figure on Heroforge or use one of thousands created by players (through heroforge or uploaded to Talespire). I am not dead set on this but it has been a fun way to explore the 5e campaigns I've run.

Howdy-ho fellow story lovers! I’ve been playing D&D 5/5.5e for the past 5 years or so and am looking to experience other worlds & systems. Open to any systems/genres, including all D&D Editions. Hoping for those with patience as I learn a new system & its rules. I have D&D games Monday/Wednesday nights & Tuesday nights. As such, I’d like to do something on Fridays or Saturdays to spread them out a bit throughout the week, but also open to Thursday. Sunday is a hard no due to other commitments. I’m comfortable with Foundry & regularly use Discord. I also have several sets of dice - too many, really 😅 - so if we don't use a VTT, I should be set there. I have a character idea in mind Uhhh… 29F. Please let me know if you have more questions or anything.

I am a "forever DM" with a small virtual TTRGP group. I've had a few years of experience running 5e campaigns but even more experience playing in them. I love to DM, I love building a world and cocreating with my players. I appreciate players who are combat capable but really respect those who take time to embody their characters. Along with y'all, I am tried of the "shitty" table top players and tropes and want to foster a safe and fun adult atmosphere at my tables. Gender and ethnicity are of no concern here, we just want to have fun and roleplay. Feel free to mesage me if y'all have any questions.

Hi, I'm James from the UK. I've been playing and GMing tabletop RPGs for a long time, and I enjoy trying different systems rather than sticking with one game. As you can probably tell from my system list, my tastes are pretty broad! I've played or run everything from Savage Worlds and Dragonbane to Alien, The One Ring, Star Wars, PbtA games, Blades in the Dark and plenty of others. I'm especially interested in Outgunned right now. I enjoy games where the players actually roleplay with each other rather than everything going through the GM. I like character interaction, collaborative storytelling and giving everyone their chance in the spotlight. Combat is great too, especially when it's exciting and has some narrative weight behind it. As a GM, I'm not interested in trying to beat the players. I want to give them situations to interact with, see what they come up with and make their characters look cool while still giving them meaningful challenges. As a player, I bring the same attitude: work with the group, support other people's moments, and help move things forward. I'm UK-based and mainly play online using Foundry VTT and Discord. My availability varies depending on the game, but I'm generally looking for UK/European evening times. I'm also happy playing with people who are completely new to a system. I don't expect everyone to know every rule before we start, especially considering half the fun for me is discovering games I haven't played before.

Possum Creek Games
Wanderhome is a pastoral fantasy role-playing game about traveling animal-folk, the world they inhabit, and the way the seasons change. It is a game filled with grassy fields, mossy shrines, herds of chubby bumblebees, opossums in sundresses, salamanders with suspenders, starry night skies, and the most beautiful sunsets you can imagine. You might be a tamarin who dances with small and forgotten gods, a leporine mail carrier who relies on moths to get packages where they belong, a little lizard with a big heart and a mysterious past, or a near-endless number of other thrilling possibilities. No matter what, we’re always travelers—animal-folk who go from village to village and get to see the length and breadth of all the world of Hæth. The seasons will change as we play, and we will change with them. Description Wanderhome is built on the Belonging Outside Belonging engine by Avery Alder and Benjamin Rosenbaum. That means there’s no dice, no math, no Game Masters, and no complicated rules. It’s all about getting you into game as smoothly as possible, and filling your imagination with richly developed worlds and evocative text. The game is designed for any length of session, and with any number of folks. Whether you’re sitting down with a couple of friends for a cozy after-dinner hangout or throwing a party for a decade-long campaign, Wanderhome always has space for your experiences and needs. /images/general-media/1779960617_hvwl1UPt.webpThe World of Hæth Wanderhome is set in the wholly original fantasy world of Hæth, inspired by the works of Brian Jacques, Tove Jansson, and Hayao Miyazaki. The game hints at and builds a mythological language around forces like the bitter King of the Floating Mountain, the Lily Rebellion, the Slobbering God and the blade that killed her, and the fall of the great dragons of old, but refuses to elaborate or define them—leaving that exercise to the players through the journey itself. Instead, Wanderhome is focused on the lives of ordinary people, and the world that exists for farmers, merchants, and crafts-folk. Wanderhome is a world filled with animal-folk and their buggy livestock. Unlike many worlds with animal-folk, there is no morality or judgement ascribed to the various animals of Hæth—a snake is just as capable of being a kindly farmer as a rabbit, and you can’t assume much about someone based on what animal they are. You might find a fluffy shepherd with a herd of bumblebees, a shrewish merchant riding a stag beetle the size of a house, a lonely fox riding a grasshopper from place to place, or a praying mantis that hangs out in a gecko’s pocket.
