Woe To The Wicked is an independent fantasy tabletop roleplaying game by Justin Lewis and co-designer Elise. Simple rules. Complicated situations. The official website’s Wicked-pedia now includes 603 searchable player and GM entries, with filters, individual artwork, lore and a shared visual format. GM content has a spoiler disclaimer and separate encounter-running guides. The project remains in development: artwork is provisional and AI-assisted, and some entry mechanics are drafts awaiting further definition and playtesting. The downloadable playtest is Alpha v44. Start with the focused Start Playing package on the official website, then use the library as a reference: https://woetothewickedrpg.com External link Tell us what you’d want to know before bringing a new RPG to your table.

Overview

Woe To The Wicked is a fantasy tabletop roleplaying game about adventurers finding their place in a damaged world and deciding what is worth rebuilding. Explore ruined places, recover supplies, confront dangerous creatures, and navigate the interests of people trying to survive. Begin with a shared Stronghold and build relationships that can lead to greater responsibilities. A repaired road, a rescued person, or a restored workshop can matter as much as winning a fight. The game combines tactical combat, exploration, social encounters, crafting, and character growth through practiced Skills and learned Techniques. Its approach is simple: describe what you want to accomplish, choose your method, and resolve the uncertainty. Playtest materials, a character builder, and guided solo onboarding are available at woetothewickedrpg.com https://woetothewickedrpg.com.

Old-School Essentials is a Dungeons & Dragons B/X retroclone designed by Gavin Norman and published by his own studio, Necrotic Gnome, first released in 2019. It doesn't reinvent the 1981 Basic/Expert D&D rules so much as reorganize them: rather than hunting across four different chapters just to build an elf character, every rule on a given topic now lives on a single two-page spread, with modern layout and clarity layered over mechanics that are otherwise untouched. Since launch it's become something close to the flagship rulebook of the Old School Renaissance - clean enough to hand a brand-new player, and 100% compatible with four decades of B/X-era modules and third-party adventures.

Free
Saga20 Free Tools is a set of small utilities for D&D and TTRPGs, each built to clear one specific bottleneck at the table. Nothing asks for a login, nothing runs ads, and each one loads as its own page. The dice roller handles a d20 with advantage or disadvantage, applies the modifier, and rolls damage in the same click, with the full set from d4 to d100 and a typed input for things like 1d20 + 2d6. The Magic Item Price Calculator gives a fair gold value for any 5e item from its rarity and category, and shows the valid market range so a generous DM does not accidentally break the campaign economy. The Point Buy Calculator builds ability scores using point buy, the standard array, or rolled stats, with live modifiers under both the 2014 and 2024 rules. The rest follow the shape of a campaign. Before the first session, an agreement builder covers logistics, safety tools, and house rules, then exports to PDF, and a party connection generator ties the characters' backstories to each other. Mid-game there is a time manager for pacing and a wild magic surge table with 100 original effects. Afterwards the recap generator turns the night's highlights into cards worth sharing. There is also a shopkeeper generator, a magic item picker, and a party composition analyzer that says out loud whether anyone remembered to bring a healer. Best for any table wanting a quick tool or answer mid-session without making an account first.

Everyday Heroes is a modern-day action roleplaying game designed by Sigfried Trent, Chris "Goober" Ramsley, and D. Todd Scott, with Jeff Grubb - co-designer of Wizards of the Coast's original d20 Modern - serving as design consultant. Published by Evil Genius Games following a 2022 Kickstarter, it takes the 20-year-old d20 Modern concept and rebuilds it entirely on the 5th Edition SRD chassis: same six ability-driven hero archetypes, same "why play an elf wizard when you can play Rambo" pitch, but running on rules 5e players will recognize instantly.  The line has grown around a string of officially licensed cinematic settings - Escape from New York, Highlander, The Crow, Pacific Rim, Kong: Skull Island, Total Recall - letting the system double as an action-movie conversion kit as much as a standalone game.
