Description

Admittedly I'm not looking to run this game but I've wanted to play a variety of games within Chronicles of Darkness for a long time now. So I figured I'd try to seek out some likeminded individuals who also want to play. Maybe even find someone who has experience running a game. I've only ever played a handful of times, so it'd be nice to have that experience for me and other players.

Just hoped on this site and hoping to see what it’s about! Longtime lover of ttrpgs like DnD 5e and the WoD/CofD game lines. Very experienced with pbp games and some voice games.

Seven Years Bad Luck

Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Do you feel sensations that you can't explain? Have you seen things that no one else seemed to notice? Have you had strange experiences that are difficult to talk about? We're here to listen The Frederick Anomalous Experiences Support Group is a confidential peer-support group for people who have experienced unusual or unexplained events in and around the Frederick, Maryland Area No judgment. No diagnosis. No explanations required. Meetings are free and confidential. Whatever is happening to you, you don't have to deal with it alone. Please reach out to Dr. Branden L. Mulligan to see about meeting times and places ------------------------------------------------------- What is ‘7-Years Bad Luck’? ‘7-Years Bad Luck’ is a Chronicle of Darkness Game designed to evolve as players play. You begin as ordinary people living in and around the Frederick area. You have all experienced weird phenomena that you can't explain and found others who have experienced similar things. Together, you are members of a small, mostly online support group where you can talk about the things no one else would believe and reassure one another that you're not going crazy. What to expect from the game? This is a character-focused game where relationships, friendships, trust, conflict, and the connections between characters matter. The story begins as a horror-thriller built around a slowly unraveling mystery. As you discover what's actually happening, those revelations may change the game's direction, its genre, and even your character. Your decisions matter, particularly early in the story. There isn't a single predetermined path through the campaign. How your character responds to what happens can open entirely different possibilities, and even death doesn't necessarily end a character's story. Expect mystery, horror, interpersonal drama, difficult decisions, strange situations, and plenty of opportunities simply to let your characters be people. What can I play? Your character can be almost any ordinary human living in or around the Frederick area. More information will follow, but they should have a life: friends, family, relationships, ambitions, mistakes, hobbies, a career, things they care about in this world. Most importantly, they should be someone you'd enjoy getting to know and playing as their life becomes. Your character begins generally unaware of the supernatural world. Occult knowledge is perfectly fine, but at the beginning it consists of things like folklore, urban legends, conspiracy theories, religious traditions, or paranormal beliefs rather than knowledge that monsters are actually real. Supernatural merits are not acceptable at character creation When and where is the game being held? Tuesdays, online through Discord

Prosperon: a Bio-Cyberpunk RPG

No paid games

I'm a game designer, and I'm looking for a group of great players to help me playtest the crap out of it. Anyone willing to playtest will get a free digital copy of Prosperon on the house. I was thinking of running sessions every other week on Saturdays, since I already run a podcast campaign weekly. If you're interested, sign up and let’s have a blast. To give you an idea of the gameplay style, it’s about 65% roleplay and 35% combat, though that really depends on the group’s dynamics. If you all want more combat, I can absolutely make that happen. The game is a cyberpunk/biopunk mix set in a dystopian society on a distant planet far from Earth. Humanity colonized a world called Khaelmora, later renamed Prosperon by the human settlers. If you're interested, let’s get those dice rolling and have a good time. I just wanted to add that I’m also looking to start a play‑by‑post group. I still want to run a VTT game, of course, but a play‑by‑post format could be fun too.

Hello perspective player! I just stumbled on Steel Rift and have made a lite RP, Living World Arena/Tourney/League server!. It is Play-By-Post, with me handling the map and rulings so that it can be time-zone and time-available agnostic! Players are free to schedule between themselves if they want to resolve a match over Tabletop Sim with me as Arbiter, but no one is reqiured to do that. (Also feel free to send pics of physical minis if you want to use/display them! The system is mini-agnostic for anyone interested in playing Steel Rift locally.) There is 1 change I have made so that its easier to manage as a PbP game (inches to Hex Tiles). You wont need to buy a copy of the rules, as I have them available on the server. Advanced Rules will be added over time, both to not overwhelm players but also so I can cherry pick what works with the League and missions that I will present players with (and to a lesser extent the flimsy lore I have for this game-world). Players will be a General Purpose Administrator/Logistics A.I., usually manufactured and purchased by Militaries and MegaCorps for admin work on large vessels and in company-cities. In this case though, the players have been purchased by an Underboss of a Redlight planet. They'll be placed in control of the crime faction's Blood Sport Assets in the burgeoning, new Mecha Coliseums popping up all around the seedy ecumenopolis. You'll put together HE-Vs and teams and enter them into Bouts, Tournaments, Leagues, etc. Obtain purses and prizes from wins, bet on other player's matches for side profit, and go Rogue to get out from under the crime boss's thumb! Eventually players will be able to accept contracts off world for MegaCorps and Sovereignties (ala BattleTech style) and will be able to flex more of the mission types and advanced rules over time. I'm running it via a purpose made Discord server and using Tabletop Sim purely so the maps and models will be a bit more exciting than a 2d, top-town grid. There is currently only 1 mechanical roll tied to Roleplay itself (subject to change depending on what players decide to get up to). You can always hit me with ideas and things you'd like to see that we can work together to make happen! If anyone is interested feel free to DM me and ask any questions you might have! A final note: The game is tagged as 18+, please respect that. And if any player has a concern about anything (including regarding me) please feel empowered to bring it to my attention so it can be resolved!
