Prosperon: a Bio-Cyberpunk RPG

Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
No paid games
On a player profile - you are looking for free games and are not interested in paid ones.
I'm a game designer, and I'm looking for a group of great players to help me playtest the crap out of it. Anyone willing to playtest will get a free digital copy of Prosperon on the house. I was thinking of running sessions every other week on Saturdays, since I already run a podcast campaign weekly. If you're interested, sign up and let’s have a blast. To give you an idea of the gameplay style, it’s about 65% roleplay and 35% combat, though that really depends on the group’s dynamics. If you all want more combat, I can absolutely make that happen. The game is a cyberpunk/biopunk mix set in a dystopian society on a distant planet far from Earth. Humanity colonized a world called Khaelmora, later renamed Prosperon by the human settlers. If you're interested, let’s get those dice rolling and have a good time. I just wanted to add that I’m also looking to start a play‑by‑post group. I still want to run a VTT game, of course, but a play‑by‑post format could be fun too.

Chronicles of Mr. Crow's Society of Best Friends

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
The Campaign: Chronicles of Mr. Crow's Society of Best Friends "Sentient Crow seeks squad of best friends for playing in the rain, daring adventures, and casual dinner parties. Compensation provided. I am a real crow." You have responded to a personal ad from Mr. Crow, a reclusive and wealthy financier of the revolution. He has a few tasks in mind for you to complete together. Undertake some quests, eat cheese cubes with little toothpicks, and fund the revolution through rampant corvid mischief while protecting your charge from others (and himself). Gifts TTRPG Step into a world both hauntingly familiar and electrifyingly new with Gifts, a tabletop RPG where magic saturates the modern metropolis. In a city thrumming with mystical energy, you'll forge bonds with powerful Patrons and wield their Gifts to resist the oppressive forces that exploit magic for profit and control. Gather your crew and get ready to fight for your community in this revolutionary urban fantasy experience. Magic is Everywhere In the world of Gifts, magic is a fact of life, as ubiquitous as smartphones and as essential as your morning latte. From corporate sigil-bearing skyscrapers to corner bodegas hawking discount charms, the arcane weaves through every echelon of society. But in a world where magic equals power, who benefits and who gets left behind? Not Just Classes, Patrons Gifts boasts an expansive pantheon of Patrons inspired by mythology, folklore, mystic and martial traditions, and radical history. Research-driven and rooted in their cultural contexts, these multifaceted entities are as complex as the concepts they embody. Bond with ancient gods, folk heroes, modern movements, even the living spirit of your city itself. Patrons grant their devotees Gifts, abilities shaped from historical context that let you affect the narrative in cinematic, genre-defying ways. Narrative & Cinematic Gifts' narrative-driven engine empowers you to tell revolutionary stories in a world where magic is a foil for systemic injustice. Wield the Gifts of your Patrons to liberate your community from an oppressive System. Explore the personal costs of resistance as you endure while navigating Backlash Events. Get ready to scalp some Nazis, tear down the System, and fight for a better world. Website: https://www.kindofonfire.com/gifts.html

LOOKING FOR 3–5 PLAYERS — IN-PERSON TTRPG PLAYTEST Location: Millbrook / Prattville / Wetumpka, with the Montgomery area also an option Format: In-person tabletop RPG Genre: Fantasy adventure Experience: None required — new and experienced players welcome Character Creation: Required as part of the playtest. You'll be building your own character rather than having me build one for you. I'll be available to answer rules questions, but I specifically want to see how well a new player can navigate character creation on their own. Schedule: Flexible evenings or weekends System: UNBOUND, a custom TTRPG system I'm developing I'm looking for 3–5 players to help playtest UNBOUND, an anti-essentialist, leveled point-buy TTRPG built around one idea: Build the character you actually want to play, instead of choosing a class and being told what that character is supposed to be. UNBOUND doesn't lock you into traditional class archetypes. You build your character through Build Points, Perks, Limitations, and attributes, allowing you to develop in whatever direction fits your concept. Combat is dynamic, using Active Defenses, contested rolls, and armor as a percentage-based damage reduction system. Magic is intentionally flexible, and healing isn't restricted to one dedicated “healbot” class. The goal of the playtest is to actually put these ideas through their paces at a real table — see what works, find what doesn't, and have some fun while we're doing it. No prior experience with TTRPGs is necessary. You don't need to know any systems going in; character creation is part of the playtest, and I'll walk everyone through it. The Player's Guide, GM's Guide, and Martial Arts Handbook are already available on the UNBOUND Discord. Send me a message and I'll give you an invite so you can look them over before deciding whether you'd like to play. Interested? Message me. Even if you're curious but not sure yet, feel free to reach out and ask questions.
