What begins as a classic adventure on the Sword Coast will take you from goblin-filled caves and dangerous wilderness to ancient ruins, strange magic, and secrets buried deep beneath the world. Phandelver & Below: The Shattered Obelisk is a campaign that starts with the beloved Lost Mine of Phandelver adventure before gradually transforming into something much stranger and more dangerous. And you get to decide how your story unfolds along the way. ⚔️ What to Expect 🎭 Roleplay & memorable characters Phandalin is filled with people worth meeting, helping, annoying, or occasionally punching. Your character's choices matter, and I'll give you plenty of opportunities to develop their story. 🗺️ Exploration & adventure Travel through the Sword Coast, discover forgotten locations, investigate mysteries and uncover what is really happening around Phandalin. ⚔️ Exciting combat Expect a mixture of tactical encounters, dangerous monsters, classic D&D enemies and the occasional fight that goes very differently from what you expected. 🧩 Mystery & discovery There is more happening beneath Phandalin than initially meets the eye. Strange events, missing people and mysterious forces gradually reveal a much larger threat. 😂 A relaxed table This is an adventure, but we're here to have fun. Expect serious moments, ridiculous plans, terrible decisions and the occasional natural 20 that completely changes everything. 🆕 New to D&D? Absolutely no problem. You don't need to know every rule before joining. I'll explain the mechanics as we play, help you build your character, and make sure you understand what's happening without turning the game into a rules lecture. Experienced players are equally welcome — especially if you're looking for a campaign where you can really get into your character. 🎲 About the Campaign System: Dungeons & Dragons 5e Starting Level: 1 Ending Level: 12 Players: 4–6 Session Length: 3 hours Frequency: Weekly Experience: Beginners & experienced players welcome We'll use Foundry VTT for maps and combat, with Discord for voice chat. 🧙 Character Creation We'll make sure your character fits naturally into the campaign and has reasons to actually care about the adventure. You don't need to arrive with a perfectly finished character sheet. If you have an idea for a character, bring it to me and we'll build it together. 👋 About Your DM I've been playing and running D&D for around 10 years, and I've spent a huge amount of that time behind the DM screen. My goal isn't simply to run you through a published adventure. I want you to leave each session feeling like your party actually created something together. Your decisions, relationships, fears and ambitions will become part of the story. Barovia will react to what you do — and Strahd will take notice. 🏰 Gothic Horror & Dark Fantasy Expect haunted castles, cursed villages, ancient forests, terrifying creatures and people who have learned to survive in a world without hope. The campaign can be dark and unsettling, but we'll keep the table itself welcoming and enjoyable. 🎭 Roleplay & Character Development Barovia is filled with people who have their own problems, secrets and motivations. You'll have plenty of opportunities to interact with NPCs, make difficult choices and decide what your character is willing to sacrifice. ⚔️ Dangerous Combat Combat matters. Not every encounter is designed to be won by simply charging forward. Sometimes running away is the smartest choice. You'll face creatures that can genuinely threaten your party, and your decisions outside of combat can be just as important as your tactics during it. 🗺️ Exploration & Mystery Barovia isn't a linear dungeon. You'll have freedom to explore the valley, discover its secrets and decide which dangers you're willing to face. 🆕 New to D&D? That's completely fine. You don't need years of D&D experience to join. I'll explain the rules as we play, help you create your character and make sure you understand what's happening. Regular D&D sessions Adult 18+: £20 per person 14 - 17 : £20 per person 13s & Under: £18 per person Sessions are scheduled for approximately three hours. The materials you need to get started are provided, along with help learning the game and preparing your character. Sessions normally need at least four confirmed players to run. Your place and payment arrangements will be confirmed before attending. All sessions take place in person at TableTop Tales in Tempo. During D&D sessions, the shop closes to general browsing so the group can enjoy its adventure without interruptions.
