Description

Hey Folks! I'm In the process of putting together a playtest campaign for a game called Gifts, a narrative-first game of magic and resistance. Looking for players to join an active game Tuesdays 6:30-10p:30m eastern. Game Teaser: Gifts is a game where magic is a foil for the battleground between Oppression and Resistance. The world of Gifts is the same as our own, except magic is real and as mundane as a Wi-Fi signal. The System uses magic to automate your oppression. Players are part of the Resistance, reclaiming stolen traditions and the worship of ancient deities to protect their neighborhoods from magical gentrification and state violence. Gifts is a narrative first game that rewards imagination, quick thinking, and heart. Example Patrons: Tlaloc | Anubis | Hanuman | Poseidon | Hecate | Nyx | Nauda Silverhand | Cernunnos | Heimdall | Baron Samedi | Met Agwe | Guinevere | Jack Frost | Lilith | Lucifer | Santería | Stragheria | Feng Shui | Shakerism | Tai Chi | Capoeira | The Zeitgeist | Class Struggle Mechanics: Narrative first, RP heavy. Some crunch, and lots of character options (131 patrons written so far).

Surely things wont go wrong.  This campaign will contain descriptions of gore and is LGBTQ+ friendly. if either of these things are an issue dont apply.

I'm a game designer, and I'm looking for a group of great players to help me playtest the crap out of it. Anyone willing to playtest will get a free digital copy of Prosperon on the house. I was thinking of running sessions every other week on Saturdays, since I already run a podcast campaign weekly. If you're interested, sign up and let’s have a blast. To give you an idea of the gameplay style, it’s about 65% roleplay and 35% combat, though that really depends on the group’s dynamics. If you all want more combat, I can absolutely make that happen. The game is a cyberpunk/biopunk mix set in a dystopian society on a distant planet far from Earth. Humanity colonized a world called Khaelmora, later renamed Prosperon by the human settlers. If you're interested, let’s get those dice rolling and have a good time. I just wanted to add that I’m also looking to start a play‑by‑post group. I still want to run a VTT game, of course, but a play‑by‑post format could be fun too.
