Welcome to the Somnium Shard. A sundered paradise; knowledge, gods and power's all known throughout the land, its history coveted by lost tomes, cosmic knowledge and crazed minds. With earliest carvings detailing a different world that may have been the Shard's muse, the inspiration for reality. However not all could be replaced, and the world's panorama was in its own natural discourse, with the residents at home. With that overly grand intro done welcome to my personal world, a multi-year labour of love that I'm still working on with every session, a sandbox type world for players to discover, learn about and influence as they desire. Designed as an open campaign for players to fit into as they wish, follow the threads of their backstory, or start a questline that leads to them swearing loyalty to a kingdom. Whatever it is you feel you want to do in a fantasy world I'll accommodate it as well as I can. However do not think that this means everything is free, the Somnium Shard is still a living and breathing world, thievery, murder and the sort will have consequences, as will trying to steal that magical artifact. You'll have to contend with mages scrying on you, rangers tracking you and bounty hunters after you if you upset the wrong people. So come and join the adventure, see where your characters can take you, how they can evolve and develop in this world with a DM that can handle whatever you feel like throwing at him. Hello and this is the introduction to my most recent open game for my homebrew world, The Somnium Shard. The game is a special edition of my normal open sandbox style that focuses instead on the undead and release of a lich. The theme of this game in particular is that of dealing with undeath and all of the horror and creatures that come with it. There is still a lot of room for your backstory, side missions and all manner of varying fun however the over-arching narrative is tied to this. As a sandbox, you are welcome to tackle this threat however you see fit of course as the world is open to you however with this pre-established major threat. The game is beginner friendly and we are happy to help you get into the game and learn it.

Phandelver & Below: The Shattered Obelisk New to D&D? Experienced adventurer? Either way, you're welcome at my table. Something is wrong in Phandalin. What begins as a classic adventure on the Sword Coast will take you from goblin-filled caves and dangerous wilderness to ancient ruins, strange magic, and secrets buried deep beneath the world. Phandelver & Below: The Shattered Obelisk is a campaign that starts with the beloved Lost Mine of Phandelver adventure before gradually transforming into something much stranger and more dangerous. And you get to decide how your story unfolds along the way. ⚔️ What to Expect 🎭 Roleplay & memorable characters Phandalin is filled with people worth meeting, helping, annoying, or occasionally punching. Your character's choices matter, and I'll give you plenty of opportunities to develop their story. 🗺️ Exploration & adventure Travel through the Sword Coast, discover forgotten locations, investigate mysteries and uncover what is really happening around Phandalin. ⚔️ Exciting combat Expect a mixture of tactical encounters, dangerous monsters, classic D&D enemies and the occasional fight that goes very differently from what you expected. 🧩 Mystery & discovery There is more happening beneath Phandalin than initially meets the eye. Strange events, missing people and mysterious forces gradually reveal a much larger threat. 😂 A relaxed table This is an adventure, but we're here to have fun. Expect serious moments, ridiculous plans, terrible decisions and the occasional natural 20 that completely changes everything. 🆕 New to D&D? Absolutely no problem. You don't need to know every rule before joining. I'll explain the mechanics as we play, help you build your character, and make sure you understand what's happening without turning the game into a rules lecture. Experienced players are equally welcome — especially if you're looking for a campaign where you can really get into your character. 🎲 About the Campaign System: Dungeons & Dragons 5e Starting Level: 1 Ending Level: 12 Players: 4–6 Session Length: 3 hours Frequency: Weekly Experience: Beginners & experienced players welcome We'll use Foundry VTT for maps and combat, with Discord for voice chat. 🧙 Character Creation We'll make sure your character fits naturally into the campaign and has reasons to actually care about the adventure. You don't need to arrive with a perfectly finished character sheet. My goal isn't simply to run you through a published adventure. I want you to leave each session feeling like your party actually created something together.
