Description

Greetings adventurers, I’m Jay! I will be GMing you through a Daggerheart monster hunting campaign within an originial setting. The tone of the game is bit more mature and weighty while still keeping the humor, warmth, and lighthearted moments. Experience a game where your characters drive the narrative and choices matter! Your town has survived for generations on the frontier thanks to an ancient creation deep in the caves, a mysterious force that draws the most dangerous creatures down beneath the earth. Now it is fading. Monsters that once vanished into the depths are creeping back toward the roads and fields, and your home is becoming isolated. To keep it safe, you will venture underground into a sprawling cavern system where each deeper descent reveals stranger biomes, deadlier hunts, and secrets the stone has kept for ages. You begin as villagers of humble origins and grow into heroes through expeditions below. You will hunt monsters, harvest what you can, discover strange flora, and prepare unique feasts that turn hard won victories into community moments. The caverns play like a hybrid of wilderness exploration and massive dungeon delving. You might return to the surface often, or spend long stretches below among gruff cavern communities adapted to life underground. Over time, the experience can change you, and you will feel the contrast between who you become in the depths and the people you left behind. You will love this game if you enjoy... • Dragon's Dogma and massive battles with mythical creatures you can climb. • The Witcher with investigative elements and preparation before battle. • Monster Hunter, where collaboration and strategy are key to victory. • Journey to the Center of the Earth and its mystery in a world of untold proportions. • Made in Abyss, its ominous depths, and a culture built around expeditions. • Delicious in Dungeon with humor, enjoyable characters, and creative monster based recipes. Curse of Strahd - Gothic Horror - Daggerheart

Paid game
The Game Master charges a fee to run the game.
Horror
The game leans into fear, tension and dark themes.
Barovia is a valley trapped in magical mist—cut off from the world and ruled by a mysterious immortal known only as Strahd, a name whispered in fearful tones by those who remember the old legends. When you cross the mist’s threshold, the land responds to you, amplifying your hopes and fears in ways you can feel. You’ll walk through villages clinging to strange traditions, encounter ancient spirits offering cryptic warnings, and sense the mist itself watching. This is a Daggerheart adventure where you unravel Strahd’s curse, discover who he truly is, and decide what kind of heroes you will become in a land that refuses to let anyone leave. What to expect: 🩸 Non-linear gameplay: Choose your own path and tackle quests in any order. 🩸 Active villain: Strahd is always watching, manipulating, and shaping the story. 🩸 Difficult choices: Barovia is filled with flawed people, conflicting loyalties, and situations where doing the right thing isn't always obvious. 🩸 Survival in a cursed land: Barovia is bleak and isolated, where safety is scarce and even small victories matter. Tuesdays at 7:30pm EDT What is included: 🗺️ Custom animated maps & visual aids 🎵 Curated campaign soundtrack 📝 Campaign wiki with lore, characters & discoveries 📔 Dedicated campaign note-taking tools 📚 Access to the core digital & suppliment rulebooks ✅ Campaign rules, expectations & custom content You can read the primer here to get a good direction on how to design your character. This is a paid game of $35 + SPG Service Fees per a player per a session. It can be found here on SPG. Easy to jump in midway through. You will have access to the all the notes and trascripts to be able to catch up. Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions.

🌍🌍〰️〰️〰️ | Exploration ⚔️⚔️⚔️〰️〰️ | Combat 🎭🎭🎭〰️〰️ | Social RP & Drama 🧩〰️〰️〰️〰️ | Puzzles 😂😂😂〰️〰️ | Humor # About the Campaign 🧑‍🏫 Learn the Game | 🎲 Sit and Play! | 😄 Have Fun! Marlowe Fairwind, the right-hand sorcerer of King Emeris, has gathered her most trusted allies to carry an important package to Hush, a small village within the ancient forest of Sablewood. The crate is large, heavy and sealed with magic, addressed to the Whitefire Arcanist. You’ve been given a map and a carriage, and the promise of reward upon your arrival. # What This Campaign Offers 🎓 Learn Daggerherat - A quick rundown of the mechanics, providing pre-made characters, complete with suggestions of links and background questions to help you immerse yourself. ⚖️ An All-round experience – Combat, exploration, roleplaying, social encounters and magical places. Get a taste of everything applied to the system of Daggerheart, and find out how it works for you! ✨ Whimsy - Although the campaign is short, the city of Hush and its inhabitants carry a certain whimsy and magic within them, making them fun personalities to engage with, so the session aims to be fun and light-hearted. ⏳ No Prep One Shot - You don't need to do any work; just show up to the game, and I'll teach all the rules and offer characters. Just sit down, learn the game, play a session and we're done! 🐣 Kid Friendly - Sablewood Messengers's only heavy themes are the inclusion of Undeads and Violence. The undeads can be easily re-skinned to something more friendly, and the combat can be quirky and silly if needed. Other than that, it's magic, fairies and songs! # In-Depth Campaign Structure Designed with beginners in mind, Sablewood Messengers is often called the Quickstart. It was released alongside Daggerheart as a free content to help players get into the game easily. It's a single session which includes explaining the game, going through two possible combats, and social encounters with a magical city and a quirky fairy grandma, with a lot of room for players and characters to interact and become closer throughout their travel. Characters are included in the module, and they have a suggestion of how they connect already included in their backgrounds, as well as questions prepared to help players strengthen these bonds. The game's rules are very simple, and can be explained within an hour. # Preparing For The Session You'll need accounts on Roll20 and Discord. No character creation needed! Characters will be provided at the start of the session! Payment and scheduling is done through [StartPlaying.Games](http://StartPlaying.Games) # About Me! Hey there! I'm Erick, and I have been a regular RPG player since 2015, but I've been involved in the world of RPGs and have been a fan since I was a little kid, when my brother used to GM for me. I'm a big fan of game design in general; so I also enjoy creating content and tweaking the rules as needed. I've played a few other systems, but D&D 5th Edition is my favorite by far. RPGs are my favorite hobby, and I believe they have immense narrative, rational and therapeutic value. I am happy to teach newcomers and engage with veterans alike. Although I embrace heavy themes and take the narrative itself seriously within the game, our communion as writers and players is something very light and comfortable for me. We'll use battlemaps for all scenes that include a scuffle, and mostly use theater of the mind for the rest of the scenes; although I do share the images that I use as reference for locations, when there are any. We'll use music to set the vibe as we play, as well as some sound effects, all integrated within Roll20. I got a firm grasp of the rules, and I am lax with them, trying to create a flow on scenes, without losing balance. Preparing to play on the 17th, 19th and 23rd of October, depending on your preference! Sign up or learn more by clicking here Saturday October 17th @ 7pm Central timezone You’re invited to a masquerade hosted by a family who considers haunted bedrooms a luxury and conversations with dead relatives perfectly polite. Dress your finest. Choose your mask. Try not to offend the ancestors. Tonight, their castle is filled with music, candlelight, and guests celebrating the defeat of a legendary Witch Queen. The hosts are delighted to welcome you. Their daughter has already predicted how you’ll die, but she’s willing to revise her notes. Then midnight strikes—and every light goes out. A voice whispers your name. When the candles return, a noble is dead, an ancient crown is missing, and unnatural fog has trapped everyone inside. Now you’re guests at a party with a killer, a thief, and something haunting the halls that knows more than anyone is willing to admit. Question masked suspects, catch their lies, explore forbidden rooms, and piece together what happened during the blackout. As portraits change and the dead begin speaking, you’ll discover that finding the culprit won’t be enough to save everyone. Someone buried a terrible secret beneath this castle. Tonight, it wants to be heard. Will you protect your charming hosts, help the spirit they fear, or find another way to survive the night?
