Curse of the Crimson Throne

Hey peoples, I’m looking for a few more players for my Pathfinder group. If you don’t know Pathfinder is an alternate system to Dungeons and Dragons that was released between DnD 3.5 and 4th edition. It’s a competitor to DnD as a whole. It has a lot more number than 5e but has more mechanical and creative freedom. I have 3 players at this time and I’m looking for 3 more. I’m trying to get a healthy mix of people from different backgrounds to keep the roleplay interesting. Ideally I would like men, women, and any in between as well, as people closer to my age so people anywhere from 21-29. This isn’t just for playing DnD this meant to also form long term friendships as well. I am open to new and experienced players, the big thing is being open minded and respectful towards other people and players, it is a game at the end of the day as we are all just trying to have some fun. The first couple of sessions will be at emerald tavern in central Austin but then afterwards I would be hosting at my place in SouthWest Austin so if that’s too far of a drive for once every other week, I get it, but it’s cheaper to host at my place than rent a table every couple of weeks. Players will not need to provide anything, I have maps, pencils, markers, books, character sheets, and dice. The only thing you will need is to be able to make one session every other Friday for a few hours. Also I have a Husky so if animal allergies are a thing you may not want to reach out either. LTo be clear, this is not meant to be discriminatory in any way, and this not meant to be a dating thing either. So please don’t treat it that way. Millennia ago, the powerful empire of Thassillon ruled the land, dominated by despotic runelords who maintained their power through harnessing the power of rune magic. Thought gone forever, the workings of Thassilon are not so far beneath the surface and one of the runelords plans a return to power. Only the brave adventurers stand in his way. Looking to recruit a table of 4 players to play through Paizo's first AP under Pathfinder 1 rules. Character Creation Rules : 25 point buy, PHB races allowed by default and any others by approval. All traits allowed, but no drawbacks. No unchained classes or evil characters. I also reserve the right to veto any character choices if I feel it will disrupt the game. Please do not optimize to the Nth degree. My expectations: No toxicity or bigots of any kind. If I feel anyone is breaking these rules, I will boot them without a refund. Please be cool and don't make me do that. What you should expect: I have been playing and DMing for a long time though this is my first paid game ever. I do request a little patience. I also would appreciate constructive criticism as I can always get better. If there is an argument about rules, I will make a ruling on the spot and table the conversation until after the game unless it is vital(AKA a PC is going to die because of it). Also I like personalizing the story to the PCs which may mean a custom side story for a particular player. I also believe in the trains running on time meaning I will not cancel the game when one or more PCs cannot make it. If I have to improvise a side story for 1 player, so be it. Game will be run on Roll20 and we will be using discord for voice.

We are an old school group. Were doing ftf, but started online of late with players getting spread out. Currently play every other Sunday 10-2 CST but are somewhat flexible. Looking for up to three new players. I use mostly Core with APG, UM, UC, UCG, UE, about two thirds of the Golarion splats and a few others that I own. General rule is if I own it I will consider it as a source. I have Herolab and try and put all characters in it. I have most of the older sources.  I do not use Unchained. We tried it, didn't like it as a group. And yes you can play a decent rogue without it:) I and my wife can anyway. She often is the rogue of the group. I am currently running the Blight by Frog God Games. It is sort of Steampunk without steampunk items if that makes any sense. The setting is there, but the items are magic, undead or alchemical. It is largely a city based setting. A city of 3 million people but there will be some wilderness and dungeon subplots. Everyone is currently 2nd level with little as far as equipment.
