Hello! Me and a friend had an idea to have a game where the entire party is true dragons, ganging up together for a specific reason or just neighbors who have territories next to each other. Rules for how we make true dragon characters can be discussed with the potential GM, though I do own the Dreamscarred Press Monster Class for Dragons, and have had true dragon PC's in my games before using the play as a monster rules. The idea is to really get to enjoy and play into the fantasy of being a dragon in a fantasy setting, be it Golarion or a homebrew world, and interacting with it from a different perspective than normal, and to hopefully feel like a epic dragon! As such in that regard, we’re looking for a GM to make this game come true. We are three, so if a DM is interested in a smaller group, or more as I have no issue with recruiting as many as you'd like! The timeslot is currently set on fridays anytime before 11 pm EDT. Platform can be anything you’d like. Just make a quick application if you're interested!

Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
It is the post apocalyptic future of the world of RIFTS.  “300 years in the future, our shattered Earth is recovering from the Great Cataclysm.  An event that wiped out human civilization, brought about the return of magic and has Made Earth into something both familiar and alien.  Humans transform and augment their bodies with bionics, robot exoskeletons, psionic-inducing Brian implants, chemicals, and magic to survive.” “Tears in space and time — the Rifts — are doorways to anywhere.  Open one and step through it to travel anywhere on the planet in a matter of seconds.  Aliens and supernatural beings use them to travel across the Megaverse to arrive on Earth.  You are one of the champions, the heroes of mankind, or an explorer or truth-seeker who braves the savage wilderness and dares to face the demons, dragons, aliens, and weird creatures fro the Rifts.” Keven  Siembieda Hi, I am looking for players, new or experienced to play a campaign of Rifts in post-apocalypse Europe’s New German Republic, Gargoyle Empire, and surrounding area.  Ideally, 4-6 players would be great. I propose weekly Sunday, voice games starting at 4pm Pacific Time Zone (GMT -7, currently).  If the party wishes to begin earlier or later, I am a little bit flexible. We’ll begin with a session 0, to discuss the type of campaign we’d like to explore and create characters.  This is the original game that is similar to previous D20 systems, that was created in the early 90’s.  (This is not the Savage Worlds Version.)  I will be using the RIFTS Ultimate Edition and particular books, which will limit the available character classes.  Please read the listing for more information, feel free to post a question, or dm me. Welcome to the Somnium Shard. A sundered paradise; knowledge, gods and power's all known throughout the land, its history coveted by lost tomes, cosmic knowledge and crazed minds. With earliest carvings detailing a different world that may have been the Shard's muse, the inspiration for reality. However not all could be replaced, and the world's panorama was in its own natural discourse, with the residents at home. With that overly grand intro done welcome to my personal world, a multi-year labour of love that I'm still working on with every session, a sandbox type world for players to discover, learn about and influence as they desire. Designed as an open campaign for players to fit into as they wish, follow the threads of their backstory, or start a questline that leads to them swearing loyalty to a kingdom. Whatever it is you feel you want to do in a fantasy world I'll accommodate it as well as I can. However do not think that this means everything is free, the Somnium Shard is still a living and breathing world, thievery, murder and the sort will have consequences, as will trying to steal that magical artifact. You'll have to contend with mages scrying on you, rangers tracking you and bounty hunters after you if you upset the wrong people. So come and join the adventure, see where your characters can take you, how they can evolve and develop in this world with a DM that can handle whatever you feel like throwing at him. An unwitting Paladin has released an ancient Lich. Jailed for ages, it is now back and undead assault the living with renewed vigour. Can you stop it? Welcome to the Somnium Shard. A sundered paradise; knowledge, gods and power's all known throughout the land, its history coveted by lost tomes, cosmic knowledge and crazed minds. With earliest carvings detailing a different world that may have been the Shard's muse, the inspiration for reality. However not all could be replaced, and the world's panorama was in its own natural discourse, with the residents at home. Hello and this is the introduction to my most recent open game for my homebrew world, The Somnium Shard. The game is a special edition of my normal open sandbox style that focuses instead on the undead and release of a lich. The theme of this game in particular is that of dealing with undeath and all of the horror and creatures that come with it. There is still a lot of room for your backstory, side missions and all manner of varying fun however the over-arching narrative is tied to this. As a sandbox, you are welcome to tackle this threat however you see fit of course as the world is open to you however with this pre-established major threat. The game is beginner friendly and we are happy to help you get into the game and learn it.

I pretend run another campaign right after this adventure and I want to talk about that and decide with the players wich adventure should we play. I apologize for my English, I'm still learning and sometime I probably will forget some words during the game. The game starts at 6 pm.

You are fresh adventurers looking for some real action, and unfourtunately for you, that's exactly what you are about to find. Following a map, leads to a set of cave under The Spine of The World, and a secret that should have been left alone. This short adventure goes from levels 3 - 4 for a party of 3 – 5 players. The game is designed to run anywhere between 2 – 4 sessions and focuses on dungeon exploration and combat. Roleplay will of course play a good part as well! Session 0 is free, and we focus on expectations there, so everyone knows what they’re getting into.  We already have 2 players and just need 1 - 3 more! Further Details and how to join here: https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmu2ueeg100dhl504fy03ehq1?ref=cl364he035phabopk9zps3nif I have a few other games listed on my profile if this doesn't work; you can check that, and more information about me and my style here: https://startplaying.games/gm/627fe21745eac1ca56eb8f72

Iron Gods campaign Pathfinder 1e, some homebrew

House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
PF1e tends to be combat focused, lots of teamwork, but there's puzzles, riddles, investigation too. I don't charge money, game time is Fridays at 6pm central. I have been GMing weekly since 1997 or so, cut my gaming teeth on AD&D first ed. I go above and beyond for my players! This campaign is Discord video chat, but we could change time/day if the other players are willing and able. Don't worry about the mechanics, they are a lot easier than most believe, I am a good teacher (or so I have been told repeatedly over decades). I do not use a VTT. Tried. So I draw it out on a wet erase board, and if there's only one or two enemies, I don't bother and keep it in my head (I have the IQ to be able to do so, and then some). NO FURRIES! If you go into this expecting to create your character without regard to the setting or the group composition, you can kiss your entitled butt goodbye. Even if I did nothing different as GM, the group would suffer and your PC might not make it. I do get your back when I get the chance if you are willing to try a class you don't normally. Lots of stupid puns and jokes. My campaigns tend to be accidentally lethal, and my NPC's react within the bounds of their Intelligence scores. I poke players into beefing up their defenses in the low levels (in between game sessions), I value intelligence and wisdom in a player. I have no problem with potent PC's, so long as they play well with others and make sense. I tend to be very helpful in between game sessions, giving as much relevant info as possible without spoiling the plot, with less info for veteran players. Quite military friendly, as my NPCs tend to react realistically and tactically. I am extremely good at teaching, not just game mechanics but also tactics, even interaction with fellow players. During game sessions, I play all my NPC's to the hilt, so if they are actively trying to kill your PC, that's how it is. I rarely fudge dice results, when I do it's for drama's sake, trying to make the game exciting and interesting. With Iron Gods (this takes you all the way to 17th level) you gotta make the characters WITH MY DIRECT ASSISTANCE in a video or audio chat as I make sure they fit with the group and campaigns, plus I give out extra benefits (like gear). We currently have a female aasimar Cleric, a female unchained sylph Rogue, a male elf Alchemist, and a male angelkin aasimar melee Fighter. They are now 2nd level, and we could use a Gunslinger (probably Techslinger archetype is best given the campaign), and a Wizard magic and tech item crafter/Technomancer (who gets assistance from the Cleric and Alchemist, and I came up with a Wizard build that grants additional 3 feats for item crafting so you can have more freedom), or another high int spellcaster of some sort, who could supplement the wizard in magic item crafting feats, spread the load more so to speak. It's for the Iron Gods campaign, it has science fiction alien tech in it, not just medieval fantasy. Iron Gods is all about alien technology meets medieval types, sorta might and magic vs science fiction tech, people say it has a lot of Conan the Cimmerian vibe to it. The campaign seems to have robots, undead, aberrations running around, so having alternatives to mind affecting stuff is a good idea. That isn't to say you can't, it just means have more than one way to mess with the tactics of the enemy. Also, since real world firearms tech was really bad at this point in technology, you probably won't be using black powder firearms much if at all. Also, there's an area in the campaign where you can't use summoning spells, might want some alternatives. Because the Cleric and Alchemist are taking 2 tech crafting feats each, and a feat that lets them pitch in with the magic item speed crafting, all that's left is the magic items and the levels in Technomancer for anyone taking over the Wizard, plus the build I came up with gives 3 bonus feats on top of the normal general ones you get every odd numbered level. I can reduce this required amount of magic item crafting feats still further if a 6th player takes another spellcaster of some sort, like a Bard/Magus/Witch. They might take a Gunslinger instead, dunno. I sure hope the group can find someone to take the Wizard over, I am sending some good stuff that character's way in the campaign. Plus, any spell that the Alchemist and Wizard spell lists is shared with the other for repertoire (a little house rule of mine to help out). I have a giant list of races available, some of which are androgynous, others exclusively male, others exclusively female, all of which are official save for 2 (Sylvan elves, basically archer and Ranger types, and Trollans). I instituted sexual dimorphism attribute modifiers to get players running more female characters, right now for example in Iron Gods we will have 3 female characters and one male (but played by a woman and 3 men but not the classes you'd think). Subtract 5 points from Strength for female characters, and add 2 points of Constitution, 2 points of Charisma, and 1 point of Wisdom. Please note that Elves,Sylvan elves, Drow, Trollans (based on Orko from masters of the universe cartoon from the 80s), Gathlain, Ghoran, and Wyrwood are not subject to this ruling, so there is no difference mechanically between male or female characters for them. Interestingly, female characters are mathematically better for Oracles, Clerics (so long as you stay away from melee combat), Sorcerers, Psychics, Mesmerists, Mediums, basically anyone that doesn’t need a high Strength score, and could use the increased Constitution, Charisma, and a little bit of Wisdom. Yes, there are cheap ways to dramatically increase your carrying limits, I can show you. Skill based classes like the Unchained Rogue and Bard tend to be a mixed result since a low Strength impacts carrying limits, Climb, Swim, and sometimes Intimidate. Male characters make better warrior types, so Fighters (melee and bows but not crossbows), Paladins, Samurai, Unchained Barbarians, Unchained Monks, Cavaliers, Inquisitors, Rangers tend to be male. Basically it pokes men into running characters that think in a more indirect, feminine way, and women into thinking in a more masculine, direct way by poking them into classes that have the right mindset/tactics. I really enjoy variety, and the prewritten campaigns tend to have a lot of different activities, not just "dungeon crawls". Banned Classes/Races Summoner (and Unchained version), Arcanist, Bloodrager, Brawler, Hunter, Investigator, Shaman, Skald, Slayer, Swashbuckler, Warpriest (this is all of the Advanced Class Guide), Vigilante, Shifter, all mythic paths are banned permanently (broken ruleset). Half-elves, Half-orcs are banned permanently; they are too mechanically similar to humans and don’t make sense genetically. Note that I never allow 3rd party (non Paizo) material (unless I honestly think they are balanced and appropriate but you gotta ask first), and I do not allow material that I don’t have access to personally. I am willing to get new material, however. I am the same way about the Gunslinger (need advanced tech available), Ninja (very culture centric), Samurai (very culture centric), Antipaladin (evil aligned only), Assassin (evil aligned only) classes. For example, we are playing Iron Gods, and you get access to alien guns so the Gunslinger is welcome. I won't run Rise of the Runelords, Carrion Crown, Giantslayer since I already did them.  These are the Pathfinder campaigns I have: Rise of the Runelords, Jade Regent, Shattered Star, Return of the Runelords, Reign of Winter, Mummy's Mask, Iron Gods, Curse of the Crimson Throne, Skull & Shackles, Hell's Rebels, Ruins of Azlant, Carrion Crown, Tyrant's Grasp, Strange Aeons. The difficult campaigns I have access to are Council of Thieves (3.5 have to adjust it), Giantslayer (kinda boring starting book 4 for the GM), Goblin adventure series (very short), Hell's Vengeance (evil aligned PCs), Kingmaker (3.5 have to adjust it), Second Darkness (3.5 have to adjust it). Only a few APs exist that I won't run period.  That’s not even counting the dungeon crawl classics adventure modules. Reign of Winter will let you see 18th level since I tacked on a module at the end, Carrion Crown only 15th, all other PF campaigns 17th. No gestalt classes, nothing outside the list below. Each new campaign, take a different class and role. My groups last for years, not weeks like so many others do, in multiple campaigns. These are the Pathfinder classes I use: Warriors: Unchained Barbarian, Unchained Monk (very SE Asian culture centric), Paladin, Fighter, Ranger (and possibly Gunslinger if I run Iron Gods or Reign of Winter, Samurai if running Jade Regent), Cavalier Skill Monkeys: Bard, Ranger, Unchained Rogue, possibly Ninja if running Jade Regent Divine casters: Druid, Cleric, Oracle, Inquisitor Arcane casters: Sorcerer, Wizard, Witch, Alchemist, Magus Psychics: Kineticist, Medium, Mesmerist, Occultist, Psychic, Spiritualist No politics of any kind: right, left, sexuality, real world religions, excessive feminism/whatever etc not allowed, if you have a need to make a fuss about that, you will be kicked out (all sorts tend to be in my groups). It's perfectly fine to have those views, but don't bring them to the game (this is meant to be fun, social, intellectually challenging). If you have major psych problems that get in the way of simple social interaction (explosive outbursts etc) don't contact me. I eventually ask for telephone number just in case of you not showing up to game and you didn't tell me otherwise. It's for emergency stuff, like if someone gets sick or something and I gotta cancel the game. I do care about my players! And yes, I am meticulous about not calling for funsies.  Listen, I have some rules for players. 1 Give me warning 24 hours before the game if you are gonna cancel. I need the time to tell the others and cancel the game if I don't have enough people to play. This is non negotiable! 2 Play well with others. If you are too disruptive, I will boot you after several private warnings. 3 Take a different role each new campaign. Try new things! 4 You have to show up to play 75% of the time. If you cancel too many times, there's no point to having you in the group. 5 Sometimes you will be required to take a role you don't really want because the rest of the group made their picks already. If this happens, the next campaign I will make sure you get first pick as to your role/class. 6 If you have to make sacrifices for the group, like blowing feats on item crafting etc, I will try to send good things your way. Teamwork is important.

Campfire embers are the last thing you remember. Whether you were traveling alone or guarding a merchant caravan, the wilderness suddenly went dead silent. Then came the masked attackers—too many, too coordinated, and overwhelmingly lethal. Your camp was slaughtered. But you? You were taken. If you’re a great fit for the table, I’ll send over the lore primers and everything you need to start building your character! A BIT ABOUT ME: Hello, my name is Aron, I’m 34 and I started playing this game as the forever DM just before COVID hit and have been DMing multiple weekly games since. I am for the most part fairly introverted which this hobby has helped deal with, and while I may not do all the little funny voices (it’s a thing I’m working on) I’m a sucker for the Rule of Cool and a good story! And what better story then one you build together as a collaboration with other like minded individuals?! Outside of D&D my interests revolve heavily around music, movies, and other general nerd things

Isekai as Monsters !

Paid game
The Game Master charges a fee to run the game.
Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
About the Campaign: I have tried doing isekai dnd before, but what I want to do this time around is players being reincarnated as low-level monsters for the first few sessions and then gaining their first levels later down the line. Would be pretty hard game, as monsters would be at disadvantage, but who knows what might come out of it. Planning to also run it as a combat heavy, dungeon survival campaign. Players would be able to evolve their characters with certain circumstances, including sacrificing souls of humanoids for a ritual. This evolution would be a custom mechanic and a way to get extra features both for your race, and your class. About time: I am planning to have sessions run at least 3 hours. This would be 2 different groups at 2 different time. One at Fridays 6 PM EST, another at Saturdays 7 PM EST About DM : I am an experienced DM of 6 years making a new campaign open for new players to join. I'll be happy to teach and explain anything about Dnd. I am happy to accommodate any type of player, as long as they are not disruptive and are not causing issues for me or any other players. I tend to do more RP then Combat, so expect about a 60/40 split, if not 70/30. About cost: I ask for 20 USD payment at least within 24 hours after the session. Refund will be made with reasonable situations as well as refunded at the end of session 1, as that one is a trial, if you're not willing to continue. About character creation: Lvl 1 start. All character can be created before the game or during session 0. Stat will be rolled with a minimum of 70

You are a couple of seasoned travelers about to be dragged into something a lot more than you bargained for. This is a tale of emotion, terror, and tragedy; but also one of heroism, something the people of Neverwinter desperately need as they struggle against a serial killer. This short adventure goes from levels 4 - 6 for a party of 3 – 5 players. The game is designed to run anywhere between 4 – 8 sessions and focuses on mystery, horror, a decent amount of combat, and thrilling and dramatic roleplay! Session 0 is free, and we focus on expectations there, so everyone knows what they’re getting into.  Further Details and how to join here: https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmuss8jfq01dkl9043evcktv7?ref=cl364he035phabopk9zps3nif I have a few other games listed on my profile if this doesn't work; you can check that, and more information about me and my style here: https://startplaying.games/gm/627fe21745eac1ca56eb8f72

Start Playing link : https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmrxzii1k00a9jr04ev58nj36?slug=cmmar8n4o00t4l7040hi3laio Of Hope and Other Sorrows is a linked, sandbox campaign using The Lord of the Rings Roleplaying 5E, where a journey begun beside a warm hearth in Bree may carry your Company far across Middle-earth. Rumours from the North Downs draw you onto roads less trodden, through forgotten ruins and into lands still haunted by the memory of Angmar. All the while, Goblins scurry in the deep places of the world, Wild Men heed the call of a white hand, and Elves pass solemnly along the East Road. The dead and the living cling to a past they cannot relinquish, while proud lords lend an ear to promises of power. Slowly, the troubles and grief of distant places enter your own story, and a wider Shadow begins to fall across your doorstep. And still there is time to meditate on unknown calamities, to exchange whispers by torchlight, and to give the matter of second breakfast its due consideration. Along the way, an unlikely companion becomes a dear friend, a stranger’s troubles become your own, and a place scarcely marked upon a map becomes somewhere you hope to see again. As the paths grow darker, these attachments give your choices their weight. Mercy may prove costly, courage may go unnoticed, and a small kindness may be remembered long after the Company has passed. Such things may travel further than you know. Your journey shares a living Middle-earth with my Thursday campaign, A Shadow Moves in the Dark. Through the Robin’s Roost, a quiet haven for trusted friends of the Free Peoples, letters, warnings, rumours and half-finished notes may pass between fellowships walking different roads. A discovery made by one Company may help another survive; a failure in one part of the world may send danger spilling into another. Each fellowship has its own tale, while the Shadow they face moves before the Wise fully understand its shape. Expect rich roleplay, meaningful journeys, layered mysteries and dangerous choices, with room to linger, form friendships and become invested in what happens to the world around you. You need neither a scholar’s knowledge of Tolkien nor previous experience with the system; I’ll help you find your feet. Bring curiosity, consideration for your companions, and a willingness to follow a story whose course your choices will help shape. 👑 Run by a Top StartPlaying GM (20+ Five-Star Reviews) Why pay for a campaign? Because you deserve a reliable, premium D&D experience with zero scheduling drama, immersive atmospheric tools, and a GM dedicated to your fun. I am a verified Top GM running Waterdeep: Dungeon of the Mad Mage on a highly optimized, fully automated Foundry VTT server. --- 📅 The Logistics     Schedule: Saturday at 16:00 CEST( 10:00 AM EDT)     Length: 3 to 3.5 hours     System/Platform: D&D 5e (2014) on Foundry VTT + D&DBeyond + Discord for Voice     Price: $25 USD per player, per session. SESSIONS 0 AND 1 ARE COMPLETELY FREE!     Link: https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmtsn6bgl00s5gy04oimb8o4r 💀 The Pitch: A Grounded, High-Stakes Megadungeon Venture beneath Waterdeep into Undermountain, a sprawling dungeon filled with deadly monsters, forgotten treasures, strange factions, and secrets buried for centuries. This is a classic dungeon crawl focused on exploration, combat, and tactical discovery. This is a challenging game with survival elements: - Gritty Realism: Resources matter, injuries can linger, and Long Rests are only possible in secure, designated safe areas. - High Stakes: All adventures come with risks. Inaction or rash decisions can lead to irreversible ramifications. - Your Insight Is Key: If you crave tension-filled exploration, perilous challenges, strategic thinking, and hard-earned victories, then Undermountain is calling out to you! Note: You don’t have to be a master of D&D! What you do need is cooperation, creativity, and being ready for the dungeon to fight back. --- 🚀 Reasons To Join With a Pro GM on Foundry! This is a colossal adventure. On the regular tabletop gaming websites, keeping track of survival details and managing the gigantic dungeon layout becomes an arduous spreadsheet exercise. Not with this table:     Advanced Foundry Automation: Dynamic lighting, actual door manipulation, and instant combat calculations. We spend 100% of our time roleplaying and surviving and 0% calculating by hand.     Evolving Factions: This isn’t your typical slash-and-burn adventure. The dungeon of the mad mage Halaster is an ever-evolving environment. I bring it to life with individual NPC personalities and faction intrigue based on your decisions alone.     Reliable Hosting Schedule: One adventure every week, without fail. --- 📝 Give it a Shot for Free I'm sure you will enjoy all the automation, the challenge, and the table setting, so both Session 0 and Session 1 will be 100% Free. Come to create a character, try the Foundry VTT server, play your first session, and see if the table is right for you. 👉 RESERVE YOUR SPOT: https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmtsn6bgl00s5gy04oimb8o4r

Tales of Acaridian: Moth to a Flame

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Adult
The table is for players who are 18 or over.
Moth to a Flame — A D&D Campaign The first act of The Tales of Acaridian Wrath has ruptured amongst an elder reality, destroying everything and bleeding its corruption into ours. Acaridian is a simple world of fantasy but not at the mercy of its own chaos. We are set in the desert of Anibuah, a land of dune and scorching rays of heat and herds of vicious monsters, the land is threatened by orcs and elementals as the dragons slumber begins to break from chains beneath, a titan that must remain sealed and now our party is here in search for a lost relic, one which may prevent the titan from awakening, but first they must find the hall of judgement, where the elder god Judge had imprisoned Diablo the dragon titan of ages.. Moth to a Flame focuses heavily on: Exploration with rich worldbuilding, deep lore, high fantasy, cosmic horror and meaningful character progression. Evolving combats and boss encounters, as well as cosmic wonders and chances, the bigger the parties influence, the stronger the enemies. This campaign has a unique Homebrew Rune System, using charts to grant creatures runes based on words forming their own unique element with its own rarity and authority over other rune power. Runes is a massive concept for the Acaridian Series and is a great way to explore creativity. I use homebrew feats to impliment abilities and google docs for stats, its simple but it can be a little overwhelming at first, but trust me once your in the flow, its amazing. Important notes: We are LGBTQ+ friendly but we aren't sensitive friendly, if your not a fan of loudness, dark humor, etc, then i do not suggest you join our group Age span would prefer between 18-30 years old (Can make exceptions for older) I would prefer all members to have a flexible schedule for if we ever need to change dates, but mostly for when we decide to extend sessions We do NSFW themed roleplays and encounters, so if your not comfortable with that mixed with some dark fantasy, then please for your sake don't join haha Preferably be good at speaking english clearly And lastly, be able to operate dnd beyond, owlbear rodeo, and talk in call on discord The Session Times: AEST UTC+10 Saturday and Sunday 9:30am-1:30pm In CST time i believe thats 6:30pm-10:30pm on Fridays and Saturdays Thank you so much for taking the time to read my post! have a great day adventurer.

Hello all, I'm Jon the DM and we're looking for players local to Indianapolis to join our new Planescape campaign. I'm a seasoned DM of 15 years, currently in my 30s looking for like minded players to round out our group. Our group is a cluster of folks in their 30s whose DnD experience varies across the board.  I tend to run narrative/character driven games regardless of the setting or system punctuated by high stakes and action with time for RP throughout. I craft and 3D print my own terrain and minis, and my lovely girlfriend is usually the painter but I'm working to improve! We're looking to play biweekly, Sundays from 12-6pm every other Sunday. I'll host at my home on the East side of Indianapolis. Feel free to reach out with any questions, looking forward to hearing from you! The Game Pitch: Plucked from the Prime, you find your very existence questioned in the balance of the Cosmic Wheel. What you believe doesn't just change your mind, it changes the Planes. You wake up in Sigil, the City of Doors, a floating metropolis built on the inside of a massive ring hovering above infinity. Here at the center of all things, every angel, demon, and philosophy has a doorstep. Each alleyway contains a door to a different plane of existence, if you have the key. And berk, you don't know the dark of it!         Tone/Inspiration: Disco Elysium, Kill Six Billion Demons, Neverwhere, Labyrinth, Planescape: Torment (duh)

The mists hide a world plundged into darkness for centuries. A dark lord has control of this cursed land. Those who are strong can escape the mists. Hello all, I am Michael.  I am starting a new campaign playing within the world of Ravenloft. This a gothic horror story that is traumatic and a fun time. This is a roleplay heavy campaign with intense combat encounters and plenty of chances for exploration. This is my third time running the campaign and I am excited to see what a new group of adventurers will make of this land.  This is good campaign to start your D&D journey as it starts at low levels and you learn as we play. So if you enjoy a fun and scary time at the virtual table then this is the game for you. Gothic Horror, High Fantasy, and Eldritch Horrors Level 1-10, with possibilities of higher levels depending on the game Go from ragtag adventurers. Unravel villain motivations, fend off living and undead threats that haunt the land, and confront one of the most famous villains. Strahd Von Zarovich. This campaign uses the best of the plot lines of Curse of Strahd: Reloded rounded out with additional materials, and characters backstories. To join this campaign, or if you're looking for other long-term adventures for D&D 5e campaigns to have a good time in. ABOUT: This adventure takes place in the Sansinukob Wildspace. This system has 13 planets, held together by a dead and forgotten god at the center. There are no suns here, only moons to illuminate every planet. Fifty years ago, a monstrous sea serpent named Bakunawa awakened from her slumber, consumed by endless hunger. She consumed all six moons above planet Tawalisi, one by one, until they were left in darkness for thirty years. Twenty years ago, the datu, Maximo Catubig, invented Bulan Lights, magical lamps that emit artificial moonlight, finally bringing light back to his people. They were a solace, soon placed in every home in Tawalisi. The people were finally able to thrive again, and Maximo helped pave the way to further technological advancement. However, decades of darkness had taken its toll; Some of the citizens of Tawalisi have become consumed by the same hunger that possessed Bakunawa, mutating their bodies and destroying their minds until all they can think about is eating the Bulan Lights. They will stop at nothing to consume all sources of moonlight, and will hurt and kill anything and anyone that gets in the way. Datu Maximo has called for help from all adventurers willing to listen. Assist him in installing these lights wherever he can, so he can save his people from being plunged into darkness again. Hello, My name is blu I'm looking for a group to play with in a bleach based campaign and a DM willing to run it Theres a Source book everyone will be able to get onto for free at all times online and I have saved the CS's thats specially made for the source book, all I'm looking for is up to 3 other players who want to try the class/races within the book and a dm willing to build a campaign based around the SB. I will send or put the SB somewhere in the dis server or if you want to peak at it sooner I can send it to you before joining the server. What would I like to play as? A soul reaper based would be preferable over others but also for extra challenge a hollow campagin could be fun if we can fighure out how to do it. why bleach over normal dnd? 1. why not, 2. bc I really like bleach. how long of a campaign do I want? Up to the dm and players but I'd like a longer campaign. what level to start on? id like to start at level 1 to take the steps of what you are gaining within the book and gain more of a understanding of the class or classes in the SB. Finally where can you contact me? Just dm here and ask, I want to know that I'm getting friended and not just randomly get a friend request and ignore it. 1, big thing I don't want is NO GEN AI AT ALL, please if you like using gen AI please don't bother, I don't want to see AI "art". 2, No homo, trans, or any other phobs, or isims, I won't take it and kick you out of the group myself. IF the group works well together I'd like to dm a Campaign of my own with the same group so if you're dming this campaign you can look forward to a campaign after we're done playing this one. Thank you for reading I hope to see someone or  multiple people ready to play. Blu UwU

"The Stolen Lands have long been the domain of bandits and monsters, but no longer! Your party has been granted a charter to explore these wilds, defeat its dangers, and build a brand new nation. Yet not everyone welcomes you as new neighbors, and powerful supernatural forces have their own plans for the region. Can you defeat your kingdom’s enemies and become one of the greatest new nations in the world?" In this adventure you'll be tasked with founding a new kingdom to bring order to a wild and untamed region, face many threats to your rule, and rise to prominence in the eyes of neighboring nations. You'll also be able to do so using especially unique character builds with the Dual Class variant rule, combining the strengths of two classes together. The current party has also opted to use multiple additional variant rules, including free archetype, ancestry paragon, and the unrestricted pack from Team+. With this in mind, you'll have many more options available to you both tactically in the moment and strategically as you level up, so some familiarity with the system is useful though not required. I'm happy to help newcomers get their bearings and learn the ropes, but if you don't enjoy lots of options and complex character sheets, this likely isn't the game for you. If that complexity is something you enjoy, however, then welcome aboard! Game Link: https://startplaying.games/adventure/cms98o5hm007il4048o5afc0y

Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Whatever the opposite of a railroaded adventure is, this open-world campaign is that. The rules are simple. The world is complicated. What happens to it is up to the players. You will hear rumors, discover locations, meet competing factions, and encounter problems, but the game will not tell you which direction you must take. Some things the players have chosen to do so far: Join the local mercenaries to learn the ways of the sword as a mage - Retrieve an old lady's purse - Become war chieftain of an orc village - Decapitate a wight with a cursed sword Also some new races that are crafted to play and feel very different: - Pixie - fly, perfect hiding, cast phantasmal forces at will, insults cause physical damage to you - Orc - infra-vision, can recruit monsters more easily Races and classes are kind of blended together. Multiple characters are encouraged. Each choice allows you to do something that appears to let you break the game, while saddling you with something else that seems debilitating. This is by design, and players have come up with a few ways of getting around and abusing these things to the betterment of the story and lore. - Fighting-Man - Doesn't have to actually be a guy, but is a human. Can use all weapons and armor. - Magic-User - Has one spell, one "shot". Can meet with magic learned peers to exchange knowledge. The most notorious spell in the game right now is Charm Person because it doesn't wear off like in later editions. - Cleric - The best of the two above, but must be Good, and by the Law. - Elf - Essentially a Magic-Use/Fighting-Man with extra perks and ties with elves and the ability to sense magic, enhanced senses, etc. but capped at a certain point - Hobbit - Capped early, but can hide flawlessly in urban areas and snipe REAL good with slings. No magic. - Dwarf -  Capped early, but high resistance, good with all axes and hammers, can sense what stone touches and its shape, and ties with and extensive knowledge of dwarven culture and holds. There are major events going on in the background but instead of shoving players in the middle of them, I showcase the developments of those events that come about, for good or ill. The players decide what to investigate, whom to trust, which dangers are worth confronting, and what their characters want to accomplish. How many hirelings do you need to bring with you? How much can you do successfully alone to maximize profit? Play alone, 1-on-1 with DM and player, or up to 10 others at once. The world continues to develop around the party. Factions pursue their own plans, NPCs remember your actions, enemies adapt, settlements can change, and neglected situations may grow better or worse. Player choices can permanently reshape the campaign world. Let me know if you are interested!

The Lost City of Valdyr

Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Horror
The game leans into fear, tension and dark themes.
LFG 2-3 Players 2-3 Hour Campaign Tuesdays (DND5E) (Looking for 2-3 players to fill out a party of 2 already, if more people are interested, we will have an interview/session 0 so everyone can get the vibe of everyone, etc.) A notice hangs crookedly outside a crowded tavern in the town you are located. The parchment is new, the bloodstain across its corner isn't. TO SELLSWORDS, SEEKERS, SCHOLARS, FOOLS, AND THOSE WITH NOTHING LEFT TO LOSE: Three hundred and twenty-seven years ago, the Kingdom of Valdyr vanished. Its cities remain standing. Its ships remain in their harbors. Gold still rests inside abandoned vaults, and weapons belonging to dead kings still hang upon forgotten walls. Yet of the men, women, and children who once called Valdyr home, not one was ever found. For three centuries, the mountains kept their secret. Until now. An earthquake has opened the old road, and beyond it lies a kingdom untouched for generations. Already, men have entered poor, and returned rich. Others have returned screaming. Most haven't returned at all. A settlement called Blackgate now stands at the mouth of the pass, filled with treasure hunters, mercenaries, archaeologists, priests, thieves, merchants, and every other bastard convinced they'll be the one to uncover Valdyr's secrets. Expeditions are leaving Blackgate every morning. Bring a weapon. Bring someone you trust. And if you find yourself wondering whether you've gone too far into Valdyr... you probably have. — Expeditions inquire within. Hey everyone! I'm looking for players for a new D&D campaign: The Lost Kingdom of Valydr. This is going to be a dark-fantasy exploration campaign built around discovering a completely lost kingdom. Think treasure hunting + fantasy gold rush + archaeological mystery + survival horror, with the campaign getting progressively stranger and darker the deeper you travel into Valdyr. You're adventurers who came to Blackgate because something about Valdyr called to you. Maybe you're here for money. Maybe you're an archaeologist trying to solve the greatest mystery in history. Maybe you're chasing someone who disappeared on an earlier expedition. Maybe the church sent you. Maybe you're a criminal looking for one enormous score. Maybe you just want to see what's beyond the mountains. The campaign will be heavily focused on exploration, character roleplay, dangerous expeditions, discovering ancient locations, faction relationships, monsters, treasure, and slowly piecing together what actually happened to Valdyr 327 years ago. The world will react to what you discover. Things you bring back can change Blackgate. Factions can become allies or enemies. Rival adventuring parties will be exploring Valdyr alongside you. And there will absolutely be moments where you'll have to decide whether that unopened door is worth risking the entire expedition for. This will be a longer-form campaign, but will be a little short on duration. System: D&D Campaign: The Lost Kingdom of Valydr Day: Tuesdays Time: <t:1789515000:F> (3 Hour sessions) Tone: Dark Fantasy / Adventure / Mystery / Archaeological Horror Focus: Exploration, roleplay, combat, discovery, player choice, and consequences You don't need to have your entire character figured out before joining. We can work together on characters and find a reason your adventurer has come to Blackgate. All I really ask is that you make someone who wants to explore and who has a reason to keep pushing when every sensible person would turn around. Hopefully this is something you are into, love yall.

The party has departed from Brackenward with their dragon companion, Whisper, carrying precious cargo and seeking to investigate the legitimacy of 1 of 4 companies with potential ties to the Carrion Company.  Along the road they were confronted by the leader of the Carrion Company, one of the party volunteered as sacrifice to turn double agent.  What lies ahead as the party is split? The party is looking for 1 more adventurer to bring them from the Fab Four back to the Fab Five. I will run a one on one session Zero with anyone interested! Dark Frontier Fantasy | Tactical Roleplay | Political Intrigue | Living World Campaign | Growing Items Starting at level 1 going all the way to 20! Azural remembers everything. In the foothills of the Drenthars, most names are forgotten, most contracts are written in dust, and only Azural itself bothers to keep score. You start in the fading frontier town of Arazar, just mere faces in the crowd, taking whatever work will keep you fed. • Escorting short caravans that never make the stories. • Settling petty border quarrels. • Finding the missing, no one can afford to mourn. • Looking the other way on smuggling runs. • Digging up graves for coins that barely shine. Small jobs for small people. Until Azural begins to change around you—and the first whispers of a divine crime start to echo from the shadows. Will you silence those whispers, or turn them into the cry that rights a long‑forgotten wrong? StartPlaying Game Link StartPlaying GM Profile

Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Intro to Terra If you’re coming from Faerûn, think of Terra as a vast continent that used to feel like one big, functioning empire. A tradition of feudalism, with noble "High Lord" houses ruling over their regions. All offering allegiance to a central authority, the most powerful noble house, Arista, and crowned it's leader as the First Lord. So the Legend Goes At the dawn of this world, the Gods watched our people struggle to survive in an unforgiving world - Early settlements decimated by violent storms. Explorers slaughtered by ferocious beasts. To have a chance at survival, these benevolent Gods gifted the lands with powerful spirits. And for the inhabitants, an ability to bond with these spirits. As these lands were conquered, creatures brought over were quickly surpassed by Humans, who found they could tame and even command these spirits. For thousands of years, these settlers fought and struggled to secure as much power for themselves as possible. Anarchy, chaos, and endless bloodshed, with the most vulnerable most at risk. It was not until those wielding the most powerful elemental magic banded together that law and order was able to form. Rather than fighting each other, they spread across the lands in a uniform effort to end the violence. Forming what are now known to be the High Lords of Terra. These High Lords rallied behind the most powerful among them, First Lord of House Arista. For generations, there was peace among the world. Humans across Terra in harmony with one another and their spirit blessings, working together to build great cities, sprawling farmlands, relying on each other for protection. The Civil War starts... Nearly one hundred years ago, tragedy struck when the First Lord passed away, leaving behind two sons with competing claims to the throne. The older son, born of an illegitimate affair with the High Lady of House Kalara, vied for the throne against his younger brother, son to the First Lord's wife. The conflict immediately turned bloody amongst the High Lords. On one side stood the loyalists, supporting House Arista and the rightful heir to the throne as appointed by the King's betrothed. On the other stood the would be usurping traditionalists, who sought to uphold the laws of succession. They rallied behind House Kalara. Now, a century later, the realm remains divided, locked in a never-ending struggle for power and dominance. The loyalist houses of Teos, Retosia, and Pytion stand firm in their support of House Arista, while the traditionalist houses of Sultern, Rhodes, and Toria remain steadfast in their allegiance to House Kalara. As the conflict rages on, the fate of the realm hangs in the balance. One thing is certain - It cannot survive another century of civil war. A Forgotten Evil Stirs... While the realm is torn apart by war, a new shadow rises. Mysterious disappearances reported near the uninhabited forest. Legend of an undisturbed kingdom made of wax in it's center. Ghost stories of an ancient evil laying dormant... now waking up. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello! Looking to stretch myself and finally start a new table with a homebrew I've been putting together for a few years. Looking for players that are in a similar timezone (PST). I'm also a parent, so would be looking for evening sessions after kiddos are asleep (~7pm PST). The world's lore is loosely inspired by Jim Butcher's Codex Alera series, mashed together with Faerun. Familiarity with source material is not required or expected at all. Lore will be provided on this world, and the unique elemental powers ALL characters will have access to... With this world, there will be some restrictions on the Player Characters. All playable characters at this time will be Humans. Most classes are workable, though the system really lends itself to Martials/Half-Casters. I would highly recommend using one of those. I'm not a major Rules Lawyer, big believer in Rule-of-Cool and being adaptable. Improvising and leaning into the roleplay is where the magic happens. There will challenging, purposeful combat but not a meat-grinder style of a campaign. Getting the right dynamic is very important to me, so will definitely be intentional. Would also love some diversity (both in character and out of character) at the table. If this sounds interesting, please reach back out! Would be happy to discuss further and share more info on the lore to make sure it's a good fit. Regardless, best of luck to you on finding the right table. :) Cheers, Windy

Looking for adventurers! Have you always wanted to try D&D but never had the chance? Or are you a seasoned adventurer looking for a relaxed, story-focused table? I’m looking for players to join me for Lost Mine of Phandelver, a classic D&D 5e adventure filled with exploration, roleplay, dungeon delving, and plenty of opportunities for your characters to become the heroes of the story. 🎲 About the Game * System: D&D 5e * Adventure: Lost Mine of Phandelver * Experience Level: Beginners absolutely welcome! * Table: 18+ * GM Experience: 2 years * Style: Rule of Cool > Rules As Written * Tone: Adventure, exploration, roleplay, comedy, and classic fantasy * LGBTQ+ Friendly: 🏳️‍🌈 Everyone is welcome at my table I’m a relatively laid-back GM who cares more about everyone having a great time than stopping the game every five minutes to consult a rulebook. If something makes sense for the story and doesn’t completely break the game, I’m usually willing to roll with it. Creativity is encouraged. If you have an idea that isn’t explicitly covered by the rules, tell me what you’re trying to do and we’ll figure it out together. 🌟 New Players Welcome Never played D&D before? That’s completely fine. I’ll help you learn the basics as we play, explain rules when they come up, and give you room to learn without feeling like you’re being tested. You don’t need to know what every action, bonus action, reaction, spell slot, or mysterious collection of numbers on your character sheet means before we start.

Premise In the city of Archester, there has always been strange things hiding behind the mist of every corner in the city. However this time, the horror hides just by the outskirts of the city... an unsuspecting rundown motel that looks just like any of the other buildings in the outskirts that are unfortunately not important enough to be maintain by the City's governor or other major private developers. Legend has it that some of the guests that checked into the motel were never seen again... or stories of a cult living inside of the motel have also been heard... And the strangest thing is that just like any other rumour, this very motel seems to have been popping up at different corners of the city... Would you be daring enough to find out the truth of this urban legend? Details - Genre: Horror, Mystery and Thriller - Characters: Pregens Available / OCs allowed - System: City of Mist - Medium: FoundryVTT / Discord - Player Slots: (Looking for up to 6 players) - Day and Time: Most likely looking for around next week (Will update on this once I can get some interest on this) - Session duration: 3-4 hours How to sign up? https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmu60gce500gzjp04fe4503kg?ref=cmtipw7wg00s7lb04d82h6d81

Hello, hello, hello. With everything that is happening, I have been looking forward to the new Dungeon Crawler Carl TTRPG, and I have been making my preparations for the upcoming release, especially since I have early access to the PDF of the book. Now, that being said, I have three players, two who are going to be around consistently, and one who can only participate occasionally. Since the count is around that, I am looking for two or three more players who are willing or eager to participate in a game, where we will have a Discord and communicate on weekly games there. If you are familiar with Dungeon Crawler Carl, then you would understand why the monotony of tags, but let it be known that very many things can happen in the World Dungeon. I'm realizing that I forgot to upload a schedule when I first posted, but I'd let it be known to those who are interested that the game would take place on Fridays at 7 P.M. EST.

We still have an opening. Every other Sunday starting on the 6-9pm Pacific time. We are just starting Eve of Ruin over Discord and Fantasy Grounds. We use 2014 5e rules with Xanathar's and Tasha's guides. I do add in a bit of homebrew to expand and balance the best I can. Our group is 35+ Adults. Welcoming and friendly. We enjoy the combat bits with a bit of problem solving aspects. We have a Ranger, Warlock, and Fighter right now. Trying to recruit a couple more. I've been DM'n for about 2 years now. I have been interested most of my life and play in another group as a player. I'm open to ideas and try and say 'yes' or 'We can try' rather then shutting down ideas as long as they are reasonable. I am more a rules lawyer then Role-playing but I'm trying to be better at the talking bits.

Where: Discord/Roll20 Seattle. 2073. You are a group of experienced shadowrunners who have made a name for yourselves in this corrupt city. For those who can afford it, you have already tipped the scales in local affairs a few times now. Your list of allies and enemies grows by the month. A Mr. Johnson who works for Ares Macrotechnology's local R&D department has approached you for a job. He wants his boss's position, and he needs your help doing it. The job? Infiltrate one of the AAA megacorp's testing facilities in the Cascade Mountains, steal the sole existing blueprints for a new weapon, escape, and turn them in to Mr. Johnson. Then he will play the hero once he produces the blueprints a week later, making his boss look massively incompetent in the process. It's a simple job. In and out. What could go wrong? -- This Shadowrun game presents a more streamlined version of the 4e rules to retain all the tactics, equipment, and buckets of dice that you've come to love. But at the same time, it's leaner and faster (and also less broken). If you wish to know more, the full rules are available here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1yyMJ9Xmd7rTAlt_0VMhCrAM1RgVQj6JiHhzABUqLEaE/edit?usp=sharing Rules will be taught in media res, though some SR experience is a plus. We will play for 60-90 minutes, take a 10-15 minute break once you make your plan, and then finish the rest of the 4-hour session. This is a one-shot playtest for a game I'll be running at a convention in a few weeks. Be aware that the rules are still in alpha, so there could be some roughness. But I assure you that these rules are still a lot smoother than the official ones. If you ever wanted to play Shadowrun but were put off by the official rules, this game is for you! If you're interested in playing, please apply here. We're still looking for a couple more players.

We are two, so if a DM is interested in a smaller group, or more as I have no issue with recruiting as many as you'd like! The timeslot is currently set on fridays anytime before 11 pm EDT. Platform can be anything you’d like. Just make a quick application if you're interested!

8:30pm EST to 11 pm - Ongoing PF1 campaign (with a few homebrew rules). Setting is custom (heavy on undead) and includes some content from Adventure Paths and some homebrew. Campaign has some "modern" firearms (PZO9072-6 The Witch Queens Revenge adventure path formining part of the current basis). Current characters are level 16. Plan is to continue through level 20. Currently have Fighter, Rogue/Mystic Archer/Alchemist, Ranger, Wizard & Inquisitor (some players playing two characters - not by choice). Looking for Wizard and Cleric or Inquisitor.  PC will start at level 16 with equipment subject to GM review. Map and rolls on Roll20 / Voice through Discord. Detailed world / campaign description available to those interested in joining. - Homebrew includes: Monsters are altered / hombrew so don't expect to find all stats in published material. Opponents may have more than 20 character levels (not legendary). Cure potions cheaper, and work on skin contact. Nat 20 auto success / Nat 1 auto failure on all checks - GM will refuse to allow a roll if the action is impossible. GM and some current players have been in this campaign since 2018. All current players are mature (late 40s to late 50s). Some are ex-military and “dark humor” is not uncommon. LGBTQ freindly, but no graphic sexual of any type (all that is "fade to black").

In the 3020s humanity feels the brewing war gathering like a laser and steel storm, aching to scourge land, air and space. From vibro-daggers in dark alleys to gyro jet carbines on jump ships, perhaps the safest place will be looking yourself in the cockpit of a battlemech to get that last PPC shot into your enemy, for outside your mech, or aerospace fighter, you can't see the true colours of intelligence operatives, rival nobles, or your family looking for your blood or services. ‎This game will be ≈ 75/25 mechwarrior roleplay/battlatech tactical combat. ‎Monday's 23:00 UTC. ‎We're looking for one more to start (ideally three more for a full party). ‎https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmt68jere00ekic044rwedel6?ref=cl4t2m6w66gz3bopkfq3c4s4j

Hello there! My name is Slum! (He/Him) I am currently working on a TTRPG system for emulating Dark Souls & Elden Ring combat. The primary concept is centered around enemies having set attack patterns that players need to read, as well as manage your Stamina! And for the playtest, Player Characters are gonna be fighting Starscourge Radahn! If the combat for my System works out well, then I hope to add more mechanics, like poise and ailments. I'm ideally looking for this Friday, 6:30 PM CST, but I can move it around if needed! It's also planned to be VC'd on my personal Discord server! If you're interested, DM me, and we can discuss details!

Adult
The table is for players who are 18 or over.
TIME AVAILABILITY! Putting this at the top here since I can't choose multiple days AND times. There are three time slots available- Saturdays at 12 PM ET, Sunday at 12 PM, ET, or Sunday at 6 PM, ET! There is also a Google form at the bottom of the description here! Now Recruiting: E.C.L.I.P.S.E., a Chuunibyou Campaign You always knew you were destined for more. Everyone else just thought it was a phase~ Alright, everyone! I'm looking for players for a chuuni-centric campaign. You'll play as high schoolers, each a chuuni in their own glorious way. Maybe you're the heralded Bringer of Chaos, sent by the Dark God Tyranny. Maybe you're the reincarnation of the Angel of Sorrow. Maybe you are the Absence of Identity, Who Art We. Whatever your manifestation, you've spent years declaring it to anyone who would listen to your ramblings and monologues, though most people stopped listening a long time ago. This year, you're all joining your first official highs chool club: E.C.L.I.P.S.E. (otherwise known as the Extracurricular Club for Literature, Improv, Performance, Storytelling, and Expression). Finally, a place to be exactly who you are: reciting incantations, designing sigils, and arguing over whose dark lineage is more ancient. But deep down, every one of you knows none of it is real, no matter how badly you want it to be. That is, until you meet the club advisor, Mr. Stefan Enoch DuBose! The man is a bit quirky and odd, but seems to mean well. eads better as "None of that matters, however, when he closes the classroom door and does something impossible: real magic, performed right in front of you! The things in the shadows are real. Eldritch creatures are pressing into our world, and Mr. DuBose belongs to a secret organization of powerful entities sworn to stop them. He wants to recruit you. All of you. From that day on, you lead a double life. By day, you're a teenager dealing with homework, club meetings, and classmates (and parents) who still think you're weird. When a creature makes itself known, you transform into the powered self you always claimed to be. As it turns out, you were right all along, silly doubts be damned~ Players will be able to choose what D&D class and race they want to be, however, when they’re not transformed, they will be their normal human selves. We’ll also be using gestalt rules, where players will be raising the levels of two classes at the same time! One of those classes can be whatever you want, but the other will be the Legacy Warlock subclass from the Valda’s Spire of Secrets book! (You’ll find out why if you don’t already know~). We’ll be starting at level 1, and I plan to go up to probably around level 10, but it IS possible to go longer. This is meant to be a more fun campaign, but there is always the chance for serious topics and themes to come up! As such, players must be 18+! https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe5qHMq3iVISouiVjNfACnHADYZd0RO_MCTeOGymfCk3nhGqQ/viewform?usp=header

Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
TL;DR [One Player Needed - All Welcomed] [homebrew - Viking inspired] [Thursdays 21:30 GMT +2 ] We have one slot available for a 4-player party. You can read below everything about the campaign, its settings, etc, and I can share a lot more lore with whoever gets to the Discord "face-to-face" interview :) Since the campaign launched on YouTube, you can also watch recent episodes to get a sense of the current party vibe and overall style. We keep things balanced, so there are episodes with a lot of fighting and episodes with mostly role-play. Mind - We are all experienced players/DMs but amateurs when it comes to "acting", so don't expect great acting, technical know-how, or CR level game ;) You can find it on YouTube under the name: The Chronicles of Alver - https://www.youtube.com/@ChroniclesofAlver I will add that I'm looking for people with the ability to take charge and initiate role play and conversations - I want you to feel like you're in the world and try your best to "live" in it :) Lastly, everyone is welcome to try - I don't care about your race, sexual orientation, or favorite blanket as a child. Be kind and friendly to the rest of the party, and you'll fit right in :) Click the link to apply: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScIeo4QAfbIuDVafQxzwxbnO4WD9GxjzJyPEBvs4x5R9SeiWg/viewform?usp=header ******************* Hey everyone! This post will be long as I want to give you a lot of information, so bear with me :) Index: About me About the campaign About the world Closing words About me: I'm an experienced DM (over 9 years). I would like to have five players for the campaign. You don't need to be a veteran, but I prefer some experience. The campaign is my homebrew world, which I created for a fantasy book I'm writing (and have been for several long years). I'm the head of a creative studio in an AAA-related gaming company. I'm a fantasy lover, a medieval history buff, and a martial artist, so if it has capes, I'm in! I'm a married father of three with a dog (so technically four as she's very much a daughter to me). I generally love dad jokes and word puns. I always mean my puns! About the campaign: We'll be using 5e with many homebrew elements. All the races and lore are homebrew, but for ease of use, they will all be based on edited versions of "normal" races (and all will be added to D&D Beyond). The party is currently at level 7. This will strike a balance between action and role-play. You will have a lot of weight on the story and direction. Everything goes - as long as it's realistic within the logic and magic of the world. Please let me know what you'd like to try, and we'll see how to make it happen. Death is final. Mostly. If your character dies, it'll be rare to bring them back. But you can always roll a new character. My goal is for you to enjoy the game and story. I don't want to kill your characters. I aim to provide you with a challenge, an engaging story, and a fun and immersive experience. Weekly sessions are held on Thursdays, most often (unless too many people are unable to join, in which case we'll try to find an alternative day for that week). Sessions start at 21:30 +3 GMT (18:30 UTC) and are usually two and a half hours long. We're doing video chat via the Riverside website (also for recording). I believe seeing our faces and expressions helps connect us, so I want people who are not camera-shy. No one cares how you look, what your race or color is, or whatever - be yourself (and your character), and that's great! D&D Beyond + Foundry for combat + Discord (for text chats). YouTube/Podcast - I record our sessions and post them on the campaign's YouTube channel, and may also stream them live later. I'm not delusional in thinking we'll be big or famous, but maybe some people will find our game fun to watch and benefit from it. So you need to be ok with it. Before we dive into lore and character creation, I'll ask you to sign a release form to allow me to upload videos featuring you from our sessions (all the other players have signed this form - it is to protect both you and me in the future). We speak English. I'm not a native speaker, and I don't do accents very well. But I do have excellent English. The sessions will be in English. You need to be able to speak it well. Accents are fine :) Please do not include IRL politics or agendas during sessions - These motifs are ok and might be present if they are relevant to what's going on in the session (i.e, Slavery or the Spanish Inquisition if we face a similar situation - you can use philosophical ideas obviously) - But try not to insert IRL events happening now or in recent years if possible. Age groups - around 30 or above, please Ensure you schedule a time for the session. This is important, as we've had people cancel frequently, leading to canceled sessions that significantly hinder story progression and immersion. Unforeseen shit can happen, of course, but please, if you apply, make sure you can commit to being available for the sessions each week. About the world: We'll be playing in a world called Alver on the continent of Kronland. This is a heavily Nordic-inspired world. Imagine what the late Middle Ages and Renaissance in Europe would have looked and felt like if the Vikings had become the dominant influence rather than Christianity. At the same time, there would still be distinct kingdoms with their own cultures, fashions, and styles. Norse mythology is deeply ingrained in the world.  The lore is inspired by Nordic mythology, but it is NOT Nordic mythology. It's a full-on pantheon and history I created. Some stuff will align and match, but much will not.  The continent is vast, and thus, the distance between cities, villages, and civilizations is such that the world varies greatly, from areas with rare magic and supernatural elements to cosmopolitan cities with mixed races, magic, and wonder. The game is designed to strike a balance between drama, grim humor, and epic adventure. It's not just grimdark or silly - it'll be a mix of all. You'll start small in scope, but the story is meant to go epic by the end.  There are five playable races (with some having sub-races), which I'll share the details of later, but these are the closest "D&D" races to them in racial traits: Menskr: Humans + Vel (homebrew variant human - with some innate self-magical potential) Kettir: Homebrew Tabaxi Hedlinari: Homebrew mix between Dwarfs/Gnomes/Halfings Graari: Homebrew Goliath (with horns! lol) Mal-Siva: Homebrew Aasimar (The only race that can use "real" magic classes like Wizards or Warlocks in my world) Closing words: That's it. If you read all the way here, my respect! I hope we can have a fun, friendly group to play with, grow together, and have emotional support when needed (lol). Feel free to ask me any questions you might have!

I'm looking for a DM who takes requests or is looking to learn by using an existing homebrew world for a group with six players. I have a game world already mostly put together that I used as a DM but would like to take from the player's side in this instance, the game is an amalgam of various existing nerd culture franchises such as Star Wars, Marvel, DC and anime where the characters and lore exist simultaneously and always have which create a unique setting rich with possibilities for the players to adventure and explore. We live in the Pacific Northwest but having an online DM who lives elsewhere but connects online is totally welcome, looking forward to hearing from you and having fun with you soon! Please DM me if you want more details.

Roleplay focused

Root the RPG from (Magpie Games) is the RPG based off the Board game from (Leader Games.) The adventures are anthropomorphic critters in a low-tech none magical world where bears and deers and some other woodland animals are dangerous but may not be the biggest problem your party comes up against.  This is a game of Woodland Might & Right. Where you and the other PC play as vagabonds. Career specific (but not set in stone) woodland wanders working to handle the problems of factions fighting secrete wars and not-so-secrete wars, solving delicate situations of local magistrates and trying not to make more enemies then you can manage, while exploring the dangerous woodland and becoming entangled in the known 'clearings' - cities filled with denizens and trouble aplenty.

Fall of Eight Kingdoms

Adult
The table is for players who are 18 or over.
Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Hello! I’m looking for 1-2 players to join an ongoing Dungeons & Dragons campaign that has been running for about a year. A few members of our original five-player group unfortunately have to step away because of scheduling conflicts, but the campaign itself is continuing and I’m looking for some new people to join the remaining players. System: D&D 5e, primarily the 2014 rules. Elements from the 2024 rules may be allowed at my discretion. Platform: Discord for voice and Foundry for maps/combat. Schedule: Sundays at approximately 8:00 PM EST, usually weekly. We’re fairly understanding about real-life scheduling and would rather postpone occasionally than routinely play with half the party missing. Age: 18+ This is intended to be a long-term campaign. We’ve already been playing for roughly a year, and there is still a great deal of the story and world left to explore. The world is divided among several kingdoms—some held together by uneasy alliances, others separated by generations of hostility. Something is coming that threatens not merely one nation, but potentially the entire known world. The party has spent the campaign slowly uncovering pieces of that larger mystery while becoming involved in conflicts throughout the setting. There are political struggles, ancient ruins, forgotten civilizations, dangerous organizations, supernatural mysteries, and threats ranging from very human enemies to things that should probably have remained forgotten. The campaign travels quite a bit. Depending on where the story goes, you might find yourself investigating a decaying manor, exploring an ancient ruin, navigating the politics of a major city, crossing a desert, sailing the high seas, surviving a haunted castle, or encountering something from beyond the stars that really does not belong in a fantasy world. I try to maintain a balance of roleplay, exploration, mystery, and combat, with a strong emphasis on characters having their own motivations and connections to the world. Because this campaign has already been running for about a year, I’m looking for players who are comfortable joining a story already in progress. You do not need to know a year's worth of lore before playing. I’ll give new players the information they actually need, introduce things naturally, and work with you to make sure your character has a reason to care about what is happening. There is one thing I would specifically like from incoming players: I want to work together on your character's connection to the world. I already have several major locations, NPCs, factions, mysteries, villains, and future storylines established. Some were also connected to characters whose players are now leaving. Rather than simply throwing those plots away, I would like to work with new players to find places where their characters can naturally connect to some of them. That does not mean I’m going to hand you a premade character or tell you what you have to play. Come to me with your own ideas. Race, class, personality, goals, history, etc. can absolutely be yours. What I’m asking is that you be willing to collaborate with me on the details so that your character has at least one meaningful personal connection to something already happening in the campaign. Maybe an established faction wronged your family. Maybe you're searching for someone connected to an existing mystery. Maybe you come from a place the party hasn't reached yet. Maybe one of the campaign's villains has already affected your life without the party knowing it. There are a lot of possibilities, and I'd rather find one that excites both of us than force someone into a predetermined role. Ideally, I want the new characters to eventually feel like they were always part of this world rather than characters who suddenly appeared because we needed more players. I’m looking primarily for players who: Can generally make Sunday games around 8 PM EST Want a long-term campaign rather than a short adventure Enjoy roleplaying and engaging with other player characters Are willing to investigate things and interact with the setting rather than waiting for the DM to push them toward the next objective Are comfortable with serious storylines while still being able to joke around and have fun as a group Are willing to collaborate with me during character creation Understand that joining an established campaign means there will initially be things their character—and they as a player—do not know Want their character's backstory and decisions to actually matter New players and experienced players are both welcome. I’ve been DMing for nearly a decade, and I tend to put a lot into worldbuilding, NPCs, mysteries, and long-term plotlines. Player decisions can significantly change what happens, including things I originally expected the campaign to do. Interested? Send me a message with: Name/nickname/pronouns: Age: Timezone: D&D/TTRPG experience: What do you enjoy most in a D&D campaign? What kind of characters do you usually enjoy playing? How do you feel about joining an established campaign and collaboratively tying your character into existing storylines? Can you normally make Sundays around 8 PM EST? Anything else you'd like me to know about you as a player? You don't need to submit a finished character concept with your application. In fact, I’d prefer to talk first before anyone gets too attached to a particular backstory, because once I know what kinds of characters interest you I can tell you about parts of the setting that might give you some ideas. If you already have a rough concept, though, feel free to include it. The Fall of Eight Kingdoms has already been going for a year. I'm hoping to find a few players who want to be there for the rest of it.

Moonsetter: A Project Moon D&D 5.5e Mini-Campaign

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Combat focused
Fights, tactics and initiative take up most of the table time.
M Corp. Residing in District 13 of the City, and the pinnacle of mental and psychological care. Nowhere else will you find psychologists and therapists more qualified. Whether you're suffering from run-of-the-mill struggles, serious mental health conditions, or something more esoteric, you will find no better treatment than within one of M Corp's mental care institutions. …If you're well off, that is. The Backstreet slums of District 13, as is typical for all districts, doesn't get to taste the fruits of its parent corp's labour. Mental health services in the Backstreets are underfunded, neglected, and ineffective for dealing with the City's ails—with one exception. Moonsetter Clinic, founded by an ex-researcher of M Corp, seeks to bring the cutting edge of mental care to the people who most need it. Since its establishment three months ago, it has become a venerated, almost sacred institution to the Backstreets residents. Dozens of people each day walk into the complex, and walk out changed for the better. Even some of the Five Fingers have taken notice, and gone as far as to enforce it as neutral ground exempt from their bloody turf wars. It is a bona fide miracle. You don't buy it. Oh, you had your suspicions before: nothing that good ever graces the Backstreets without some strings attached. But there's also a personal reason behind your mistrust. You know someone—friend or family, colleague or simple acquaintance—who is a frequent patient of this place, and they recently went for their usual check-up. Maybe you even accompanied them to the lobby. It's been days, and they haven't returned. Your suspicion turned to surety. You quickly came across others who shared your experience, banded together, and decided. There is something rotten about Moonsetter Clinic, and you are all going to get to the bottom of it. Introduction Hi there! I am Nope (22, he/they). I hail from the far-off land of New Zealand, and I've been playing and running TTRPGs for close to 9 years now—mainly D&D 5e and 5.5e, but I've also dabbled in other systems like Pf2e and Lancer as well. I am also, as the title might indicate, a big Project Moon fan! This mini-campaign was made to combine two of the interests nearest to my heart, and is hopefully the start of a larger anthology of adventures set in the City. If you're not aware, Project Moon is a Korean indie game studio that creates games set in The City: a cyberpunk dystopia with fantasy elements. Life is cheap, violence is banal and commonplace, and corporation rule unchecked. In terms of vibes, think office workers in suits or streetwear fighting with store-bought swords and back-alley augmentation procedures, living paycheck to paycheck. Familiarity with this setting is not required for this mini-campaign; the plot will be pretty self-contained and won't make many references to the wider Project Moon canon. Details - System: D&D 5.5e, with some homebrew to adapt it to Project Moon's setting. The necessary homebrew is actually quite light (just 9ish pages) thanks to the City arguably borrowing more from high fantasy than conventional sci-fi in its worldbuilding; thus, the majority of translation is in reflavouring abilities and classes rather than bespoke custom rules. You can take a peek at the homebrew I plan to use here. - Level: Probably around 5-7, to be discussed with players during Session 0. Level-up is unlikely, given that this is a single adventure. - Time: Sunday 2pm fortnightly, GMT+12. Sessions will run from 3-4 hours. - Starting Date: My goal is to hold Session 0 sometime in early-mid October! - Length: 4-6 sessions, as a very rough estimate. More likely to be longer than shorter. - Players Needed: 4-5 - Platform: Foundry for VTT, Discord for communication Requirements - Age 18+ - Have a decent mic and a stable internet connection. - Have some decent experience with D&D 5e or 5.5e, or be willing to learn quickly. - Be willing to be earnestly invested in the campaign, and in each other's characters. - Be prompt and timely in showing up to sessions; give advance notice of a few days if you're not able to make it. - Don't be a bigot or an asshole. - No use of generative AI; I'm not a fan. Further Considerations - This is an LGBTQ+ friendly table! If you're not comfortable with that, go elsewhere. - The following topics will be covered: classism, mental health, medical malpractice, slight body horror. - The campaign will likely have a focus on combat and social interaction, with limited exploration. - This campaign is intended to be serious, but not misery porn! There will be ample space for jokes, light-hearted moments, and goofiness in general. - Combat difficulty will aim for 'challenging but fair'. I'm not interested in playing every encounter absolutely optimally; enemies will act based on their personalities, goals, and the current situation. As a DM, my priority is for combat to be fun and engaging, while still maintaining actual stakes—notably, this means non-zero chances of character death. - The setting of the campaign is not perfectly 1-to-1 with the Project Moon setting, due to D&D's mechanics and structure. The biggest divergence from canon is that magic as it works in D&D exists in the City and is well-understood and utilized as just one of many pathways to gain power, alongside technology, augmentations, and sheer competence. - Project Moon's stories are very character-focused, with emphasis on personal trauma, character growth, and facing your fears to achieve self-actualization. Include the word sun somewhere in your application. While the scope of this mini-campaign means there probably won't be much in the way of formative character arcs and development, I want to keep that focus on character-driven personal stories that Project Moon is known for. - My hope is to run this mini-campaign and others like it (some set in the City, some with their own bespoke settings) to build a community of like-minded players, with whom I hope to establish a long-term TTRPG gaming group! - I am technically a Project Moon larper LMAO (haven't played any of the games, got into it purely through watching playthroughs and wiki-diving) Applying If you want to apply, fill out this form! Once I gather enough respondents, I will shortlist a number of potential players and schedule interviews with them over voice call on Discord. After that, I will select 4-5 players to invite to a Session 0, and hopefully from there the campaign will begin!

But beneath its surface lies an underworld ruled not by elected officials or some governing body, but by various gangs and criminal organizations. Ones whose influence touch every corner of the city. Welcome. This is a playtest for Lost Mine of Phandelver. If your application is accepted you will be a part of the first group to set the baseline for this world from start to finish. Help me polish this adventure and your characters may just be immortalized in some way. Expectations: - 4 or 5 players - Starting at level 4, playing from levels 4-9 (its normally designed for 1-5) - Aiming for Monday Sept 14th with an optional 'Session Zero' Monday Sept 7th if applications fill fast - 1 Free roll of stats, 4d6 drop the lowest, otherwise pointbuy (Please declare it in Roll20 chat) - Vanilla Forgotten Realms Dnd (mostly using rules from 5.5e, 5e classes and the like are allowed) - Open to a 5e rules playthrough, applications will determine. - Focus on questing and combat (think Tactician level difficulty) - Aiming for 20 sessions (with distant options to get into DoIP or ToA. Shattered Obelisk was considered but not my style) - For character backstories you will be assigned secrets (as seen in the adventure IDRotFM) but I am flexible here. - Downtime, IC conversations, shopping, etc will be encouraged over discord and less in game. - Possible monster card game if I have time. (Defeat a monster, gain their card, cards can lvl up, play NPCs for keeps, etc.) No players under 18 No homebrew or Unearthed Arcana. No primarily evil characters at the start (may revisit this as the campaign progresses) Most books are allowed (list in discord) If you have a question about some popular combos (shepherd druid, coffeelock, conjure woodland beings, etc) I am flexible If you have a question about some item combos (bag of beans, equipping a familiar, illusionist bracers, etc) feel free to ask Write Gygax in your application so I can see you read this. Some brief homebrew rules (not the full list): - Level ups by milestones - Flanking, but only for Rogues - Anyone can grapple on an op attack, including enemies - Rest casting ok, but incurs 1 lvl of special exhaustion that cant be mitigated till next longrest - Cant benefit from a full rest in armor (unless Warforged or Autognome, etc) - 2 of the 8hrs rest can be done awake, however, staying awake in camp requires Con check - Starting gold may be rolled once in Roll20 chat. - Inspiration has ways of being earned (see discord) - Write the name 'Greenwood' in your application for free inspiration. - You may sell unneeded items at half price but need to wait till in game to buy stuff, initially. - Death saves are rolled in private (But, characters 5ft away can make a free medicine check [DC 12]) - Characters preforming help action requires proficiency for the respective ability check. - We will try not to dogpile skill checks, but I may ask multiple characters for the same check - Druids can equip metal - Using surprised condition from 2024 - Orc NPCs are evil bc Grummsh said so, Halforcs can be any alignment (players can still play anything with any alignment) - S, M component discrepancy mostly ignored if you have a spell focus. V components can be no quieter than a 'chant' About me: -Around 2000hrs experience, with limited one-shot GMing -Completed LMoP, SO, ToA, OOtA, DoIP, WDH -Heavily played in SKT, Planescape, IDRotFM, DragonLance, Scarlet Citadel, BG3 800hrs+

Central/Northern VT 2 year long story-driven campaign looking for 1 or 2 more players. PCs just hit level 6, you would join in with magic items and a level 6 char right out the gate. For folks that feel like they only get to play in low level games, this is your opportunity to get in and run with a char! We meet 1x per month on Saturday from 11am-4pm. The players just celebrated their 2 year anniversary of the campaign and have cleaned out a Keep, finding themselves the new owners.  With this revelation they are discussing what comes next. Do they take ownership and try to rule? Diplomacy? Do they sell it? Offer it to someone else to run in their stead? On the other side of the Keep is a new and exotic landscape known as the "Wild Lands" where unusual monsters, animals, Magic items, and people's can be found - but very little is known about it. We have a Swashbuckler, Oracle, Druid, and Magus.  Happy to help onboard new players and/or experienced players who want to jump in. Alternatively if a new player felt the jump to level 6 was a bit challenging, we can have players come in at a lower level as squires or henchmen to the PC - and grow new players at their speed and comfort. We are all very welcoming of all peoples and all walks of life.  Inclusion is where we choose to be as a group. If you enjoy story driven games where your actions and choices impact the world around you, this game may be for you! The players asked me to advise new potential players that the game has a serious tone.  It is not slapstick comedy.  While we have fun, characters have died to powerful NPCs, and monster encounters.  While serious about gaming, we don't take ourselves too seriously. However - slapstick stupidity in game does carry a cost, as some players have found - so - the warning was shared as requested.  In character actions carry in character consequences (both good and bad). Couples, Parent/Teen, Solo Players, Lady Gamers, LGBTQ+ welcomed and encouraged.  Age limit is 16 with a parent, otherwise 18+. Please let me know if you are interested and we can chat more about the campaign, game, themes, etc Hope to hear from you!

Adventurers are mysteriously drawn to the realm of Barovia which is surrounded by deadly mist and ruled by the vampire wizard Strahd von Zarovich. This gothic horror adventure takes the players on a course through Barovia that culminates with a vampire hunt inside Castle Ravenloft. Using a deck of tarokka cards, the Dungeon Master can randomize parts of the adventure such as the identity of a powerful ally, the placement of important magic items across Barovia, and Strahd's location within Castle Ravenloft. This adventure module is designed to take four to six player characters from 1st level to 10th level. [test post - will be removed soon]

LANCER: In need of a DM

Combat focused
Fights, tactics and initiative take up most of the table time.
Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Hello, I'm an European player looking for anyone who'd be willing to run Operation Solstice Rain(or any official Lancer missions) for me and possibly 2 others. I've been playing DnD on and off for about 3-4 years now and have been really interested in trying out other systems for a while now, especially mech oriented ones like Lancer or Beam Saber. Time and day(s) when we play will be further discussed in private messages. I live in the GMT time zone, but I'm no stranger to playing much earlier/later in the day to accommodate others. Due to many of the Lancer starting missions being short(from my understanding), I would prefer for this to be a weekly game, but I'm absolutely fine with bi-weekly too. So far, I've only played online games on Discord and Roll 20, but I'm willing to try out other apps that you might believe are better suited for a Lancer campaign, as long as they're free. My only requirements for a GM are: 1. Have experience with Lancer: On top of looking for someone to run a game, it's very important for me that you have experience with the system. I got the gist of the basics, but I'm a slow learner and having someone to ask questions whenever I feel stuck is essential. I'm okay with an experienced Lancer player that wants to try DM-ing for the first time, as long as you have played the game before and have a good grasp on the system. 2. Be willing to communicate 3. Be 21+ of age

Hey everybody! I'm a long time DM/GM looking to put together a party for DnD (or similar ttrpg system). I'm open to players of all sorts, experience levels, time zones and the like, as long as we can make it work for everybody!  At the time of posting this, I have zero seats filled. Looking for 3-5 players. If you are intersted and we connect and get you in the group but it doesnt vibe with you or something doesn't work out, no heart feelings.  If you're a diehard DnD player, I'm probably not the DM for you. I love being a bit more loose with the rules and allowing for player creativity, using DnD as a foundation. I'm very theatre of the mind. With that being said, I did pay for a platform called Foundry VT that is very nerdy and detailed with interactive maps, character sheets and more. We'd use that (players dont pay anything) and discord for playing and talking. Not a requirement, but for informational purposes I'm in the U.S. and in EST. If you're interested or have questions, please hit me up! Look forward to hearing from you all! I'll keep this post updated if/when (hopefully) seats get filled.

[[Warning: Mild Gore, Discrimination, heavy subject matter, teenagers.]] Hey, It's noro, 18. I'm making a campaign for a custom system i've made. It's 16+ bc i don't like children. -- September 6th, 2010 You've managed to somehow end up in detention on the first week of highschool. It's almost a skill, really. The clock scrapes against itself, you can't believe you have to stay here for the next 6 hours, and just when the rot of boredom begins to eat your mind. A Blackbird flies through the window and Gives you a quest. -- Based on late 2000s culture, and shitty highschool movies. The world is cruel and you are a child, endure these remaining years of your adolescents while fighting horrors and sealing 'dragons'  within the crust. If you wanna join dm me, my time is est. p.s. let yourself be as weird as you want.

G'day g'day! I'm Kregler! You can call me Jasper or Jazza if you really like. I'm 21 and would consider myself a fairly intermediate DM, having DM'd on and off over the past 3 years for short stints- though I have been playing MUCH longer. Just to establish some expectations as to what I'm looking for in players... I'm seeking a group of people who are within my age group. Meaning over 18 and preferably under 30. This will be a fairly average sized group of four players, with a focus on combat and roleplaying in the combat, with a strong focus on the party's dynamic. Just a thing of personal taste- I find AI character art to be VERY jarring and it honestly just breaks my focus, so please don't use it, I'm happy to help you find alternatives. Also, please for the love of the Lord, do not use AI to generate your backstories. Sessions will be hosted at 5:30pm AEST every Saturday, either weekly or fortnightly depending on the general preference. If you're in an American or European timezone, you very well may struggle! Planning on starting a Session 0 on the 22nd of August, with Session 1 on the 5th of September. You will all be starting at Level 3! Anyways... some info on the setting and campaign. Falkovnia is a Ravenloft setting, with a LOT of zombies. Characters will originate from a Faerun that is far more grim to fit the theme. Expect an intense amount of combat with endless hordes of the undead and an exploration of the very human horror of war. As for your characters... The black shadow of War has always hung over you. The hatred upon the faces of foes you've slain, the death-rattles of your family slaughtered in a raid, or the tears you have wrought in shattering families by your own atrocities. Mayhaps you've tried to escape it. Mayhaps you've accepted your lot. Mayhaps you could never live without it. An incredibly lucrative offer in a wartorn land leads your characters to the eternally burning forest of the Château de Levagneux - the sight of a terrible massacre. A noble man from the local Kingdom desperately clutches at the idea his family may yet be found, even if that means sending fodder down the rabbit hole. Something terrible hides in the thick smoke and cinders, none of the locals dare go near, for those who do oft never return. It draws you further in, still. A part of you - more ancient then your spirit or soul - can feel what is beyond there. Its all too familiar. Application link below! https://forms.gle/L9qfa135raMjupbLA

Vecna - Eve of Ruin

Combat focused
Fights, tactics and initiative take up most of the table time.
The campaign is the Vecna: Eve of Ruin module, in the middle. I allow a mix of 2014 and 2024 rules. The player characters are currently level 15. The campaign is combat heavy and doesn't have many chances to RP. Keep that in mind please. Please be on time for the sessions or message ahead of time if you will be late. Apart from being on time & insisting you let me know if you’ll be late or can’t show up I tend to be a very loose DM and will allow stuff if I think it’s fun but I won’t always allow Nat 20’s to break the laws of physics unless it doesn’t have a huge impact and/or is really funny. Comment or message me any questions you may have. We tend to swear a lot and sometimes make jokes that might be considered inappropriate. Please be aware of that and the fact that the campaign may include triggering subjects before joining. I will have lots of official and homebrew books/files available for players to read and use. I'll have Handouts containing campaign rules and explanations available to read or we can choose a time to get on and I can go through the rules with you. We will be playing on Roll20 and using Discord so proficiency with both of those is required, no using the dndbeyond extension thing because I will give custom items and the dndbeyond interface for making those isn't user friendly. If you have problems adding spells to your sheet let me know and I'll do it because I have a browser extension that makes it easy Please be ready to accept the invites not long after you comment. This is so we have time to make sure everything works correctly.

Long before the rise of Megatron, Cybertron was already a world on the brink of collapse. Its people were divided by an unforgiving caste system, one that determined a Cybertronian's purpose from the moment they came online. At the top stood the privileged elite—administrators, scientists, military commanders, and nobles—constructed for positions of influence and authority. Beneath them labored countless worker drones, miners, laborers, and industrial bots, engineered to perform the endless, thankless tasks that kept Cybertron alive. To those born into the lower castes, freedom was nothing more than a myth. Many spent their entire existence toiling in the depths of Energon mines, assembly foundries, and toxic industrial sectors, their sparks treated as expendable resources. Those deemed unfortunate enough were dragged from the mines and forced into gladiatorial arenas, where they fought to the death for the amusement of Cybertron's ruling class. Overseeing this oppressive society were the Quintessons and the Primes they installed to maintain order. They upheld the illusion of peace while ensuring the hierarchy remained unchallenged. For millions of stellar cycles, dissent was crushed before it could become revolution. But oppression inevitably breeds rebellion. Eventually, a miner named Megatronus rose from the depths. Once an ordinary labor drone who knew only hardship and injustice, he became the voice of the forgotten. His dream began as one of equality—a Cybertron where every bot, regardless of function or origin, could choose their own destiny. Yet power has a way of corrupting even the noblest ideals. As the revolution grew, Megatron abandoned the principles that had inspired it. What began as liberation became conquest, and the freedom he promised was replaced with fear, domination, and endless war. Now, none of that history can be changed. You were forged into the consequences of those choices. Cybertron burns beneath the weight of a conflict that has consumed generations. Cities lie in ruin, Energon grows scarce, and every spark is forced to choose a side—or struggle to survive between them. This is no longer the story of how the war began. This is the story of those who must endure it. Welcome to the War for Cybertron.

I am looking for Players who enjoy a game were what you do on the way to the dungeon is as important as what you do in the dungeon. You might meet some Woodelf hunters on the way who offer trade, ask for supplies, seek aid or pick up a rumor. Characters can trade in vast markets and with the right reputation or a strong skill in bartering may come out a head. Intrigue can be heavy or light depending on the players stategy and the choices they make. The world is not balanced to the players you my fight a group of goblins or run from a powerful elemental the choice is yours. Characters can become involved in local politics with the thought of becoming more or may just want to be an alchemist studying the herbal trade. There are many classes, races and careers open to the characters. Magic be it conjuration, spiritual, divine, demononic, necrotic, naturalism or achane is developed by the character. The path that they move into, the creaton of there personal spells and the ability to hold rituals after achieving enough peraonal power is your desicion to make. The are many options to magic beyond the norm. dwarven rune casters, shaman Ki masters with abilities beyond what is in most systems. Combat and personal arms is treated in the same way warriors choose there weapons and armor styles and can train to become masters with these chosen fighting styles. Its up to you to decide where you go. We play over Discord. If you are interested in something different, where roleplaying is as important as the stats your character has give me a reply. We are also looking for a GM who is interested in learning and running a new game

The table is for players who are 18 or over.
Hi, my name is Butch, and I'm DMing an old old 2E campaign (called The Night Below) that I'm adapting to 5.5E.  I have 3 players already, looking for 2 or 3 more.  We are adult friends that like to get together and have fun.  The PCs are currently at level 3 (close to level 4) : a Human Warlock/Paladin, a Shadar-kai Gloomstalker Ranger, and a Dragonborn Warlock).  We'll do 1 or 2 more levels above ground, and then the plot moves almost exclusively to the Underdark.  This is an old-school campaign, so there'll be lots of combat.  Currently, they have no dedicated tank, Cleric, or Wizard (a Light Cleric would be a great fit).  Good-ish cooperative PCs (and players) only please.  No PVP, murder-hobos, thats-what-my-character-would-do, I-was-Evil-the-whole-time assholes need apply.  Experienced mature players preferred, but we're noob friendly if you're enthusiastic want to hang with a fun group.  Let me know if you're interested in joining our group.  Discord ButchO, reddit u/JetScreamerBaby.

Quick Info: LGBTQ+ friendly. POC friendly. (Seriously, want more poc/women/queer/etc players! Not only white men!) Capitalist unfriendly. No bigotry. No sexual violence. 25+ only. 30+ preferred. Hope to play every other week. Looking to start up in a couple months, after getting a group and some backstories going. System: MSH/Advanced FASERIP with homebrew. Points Buy character creation. Some powers disallowed. Interest Form: https://forms.gle/PZijF6Uiw2ptTXBGA Session Structure: Sessions – Get into a fight, foil a villain’s plot, a smattering of interpersonal drama. The meat and potatoes. This is when you punch a living bulldozer through a building. In-Between sessions – Play by post to forward more of the interpersonal stories, background stories, investigations, and other plot threads not covered in sessions. Feel free to engage with this as much or as little as you wish. Will begin with one-shots. Over time plot threads will naturally weave themselves in and out, forming stories, similar to how comics of the era were written. Heroes may encounter people and situations from their past. Villains may return for revenge, group together for more dangerous plans, etc. Setting: The year is 1984, as envisioned by the 1960s. Technology is retro-futuristic. Many modern devices do not exist. Many older devices exist in more advanced fashions. The internet is for hacker nerds and government organizations. Cell phones are not available. Pay phones are widely available, and are generally video phones. Young adults/teenagers lean towards being hipsters, beatniks, freakers, hippies. There are still a good amount of squares. Middle aged + are mostly squares. The elderly are Great War vets. Cities and countries are all fictional, though based on real world places. The colonization of the West was far less brutal and ugly. There is still a Cold War with Communist powers. The police force does not exist. Instead, they are replaced by Safety Officers; Trained for de-escalation. Not particularly inclined to violence. They still have a Detective Bureau, Riot Squad, and small Mech Squad. Guns that shoot bullets were banned after the Great War. Instead, stun pistols are common. Knock people out and leave them with a groggy headache. Murders still happen, through other methods. There are still obvious rich/poor social divides, but racism/sexism/homophobia/etc is not nearly as prevalent. The one exception is mutants. Society shuns mutated humans to varying degrees. Inspiration: ‘60s Doom Patrol. Morrison Doom Patrol / Animal Man. ‘70s Defenders. ‘80s Suicide Squad. Power Man & Iron Fist. Copra. The Jam. Madman. The Maxx. Venture Bros season 6. Goofy hold overs from the Silver Age meets a newfangled “gritty realism.” Morals are becoming more grey. Tongue-in-cheek play meets serious characters. Characters: C-List street-level supers in a mid-sized city. Dramatic personal lives. Classic costumes. You come up with your basic character concept, and we will work together to flesh it out and fit the character into the world. Details will be broad at first, with more specifics emerging during the course of the game. Examples: Techno-barbarian from a Kirby-stlyed future fantasy world after the fall and rebirth of man. Reincarnated Moon Princess from the dead ancient culture on the moon. Famous b-movie actor/model turned super spy and master of disguise. Unhoused person who fell asleep in the wrong alley. Celebrity fitness instructor and motivational speaker.

This is a short homebrew campaign set in the animal world of Ecosia! This is hopefully the first of many more sessions to come in other modules and worlds to explore.  We are using 5e2024 rules with a bit of homebrew around the races to choose from as they are animal races. This one shot is made for 5 players starting at level 10. Characters have already been made if you are new to roleplaying and need a bit of help. It is more of fun/comedic story and hopefully not so daunting.  Not to reveal too much, but this is a mystery story with some horror elements. Players should be 18+ and all are welcome. This will be my first time DMing online so I look forward to giving it a go.

Looking for player interested in testing custom game system via narrative roleplay and learning the system itself. Grasianil: Custom D6-based system utilizing Maptool primarily, heavily stream-lined to support large, quick battles. Versatility allows vehicles, mechs, and spaceships, utilizing unique mechanics, in-addition to single players. Minimal delays owing to macros within Maptool, utilizing pop-up menus, automatic calculation of damage, debuffs, armor, etc. Highly adaptable, with streamlined rules offering as much complexity as is desired, and based on the setting. Developed by myself and my partner who passed away earlier this year. Supports several original fantasy and sci fi worlds of varying types, from traditional western high fantasy, to detailed low fantasy, from space opera-style sci fi, to more realistic settings. In-addition to original settings not listed here, it has been adapted to: Legend of Zelda Battletech Middle Earth Forgotten Realms Mystara Shadowrun and Cyberpunk Pre-existing settings are not played strictly-canon, but consistency is stressed. Medium amount of experience in RPing requested, as well as an open mind to learn a new system. Maptool 1.11.5 needed, Discord used primarily for all text but other programs are an option, Google sheets used for some settings. Time-zone of GM is US Central. RPing otherwise done via text on Discord, but other options open to discussion. Session date and time variable, any listed setting available, suggestions welcome, inquire in DMs to myself for further details. GM preference for folks interested in creating a story, rather than purely for the gaming. One-on-one only, at the moment. No cost. No absolute obligation. Reach out to natalie7995 on Discord, or via message/email for more information. When reaching out, please send a message via Groupfinder or over Discord.

About Me & The Vision Hey everyone! I am a brand new Dungeon Master looking to run my very first campaign. i have only briefly played tabletop games and I enjoy Star-Wars lore and worldbuilding, so I am jumping straight into the DM seat. Because I am new, this game will be 100% patient, relaxed, and beginner-friendly! Whether you are an experienced player who wants to help a new DM, or you have never touched a 20-sided die before, you are welcome here. The Story: Welcome to Scrapper's Rest The game takes place on Tatooine in a small, dusty desert town called Scrapper's Rest. You play as a crew of broke smugglers, mercenaries, and tech-wizards just trying to make enough credits to survive on the edge of the galaxy. We will start the very first session right in the middle of the action inside a local cantina. A panicked, grease-stained junk scrapper runs up to your table with a fast-cash job: he needs you to help him go out into the deep dunes to recover a stuck transport skiff. The problem? Space pirates and Jawas are already trying to steal it. Even weirder—your client refuses to tell you what is hidden under the cargo tarp. Hard stop. From there, your choices will lead you into trouble with a dangerous local gang, and you will slowly uncover some massive galactic secrets. The System: Easy Sci-Fi D&D Rules We are using a custom, highly simplified system built on the basic bones of D&D 5th Edition. I took out all the magic, elves, and swords and replaced them with Star Wars gear: The Attributes: Standard stats handle sci-fi skills (Intelligence is for Technology/Hacking, Wisdom is for Streetwise, Dexterity is for Piloting). Four Unique Classes: You can choose to play The Scoundrel (thief/sneaky), The Mercenary (soldier/gunslinger), The Slicer (hacker/medic), or The Enforcer (heavy brawler/Wookiee). No Homework Required: I have reference sheets ready on Discord. I will give you the stats for your blasters and items as your characters naturally find them in the game!

About Freelancers The Osmosis Galaxy. The only one that life as we know it, inhabits. One with its own oddities, but for which we take for granted. And for the longest of time... we thought there were no frontiers left. No unexplored regions to search and traverse. Apparently, we were wrong. Even if the old Osmosis Confederation has been dissolved for four decades, it seems those who've taken from their ashes, have begun making their moves. Their rump-state successors on Mandas, the home of all of Humanity, still continues to decay silently. But after the treaty of Sorreuire, another entity sprung into action... The ASTROMINA™ Corporation, armed with many stubborn veteran fleets and soldiery from the old Confederation, turned back the Confederation's eldest adversary: The Velixian Imperium. Staking its claims of space from Samn Hocc, all the way down to Vispensis and Octora. It may be small, but these systems and worlds, were once the heart of the Confederation's economy. With this new-found productivity and economy, their leadership turned to governing their taken spoils. But one of them, unknown to all but his representative to the Board of Directors, has other plans. He recently began hiring mercenaries, laid-off veterans, and many other people. As personal soldiers of his. Mercenaries, whom eithere were trained, or went through training, to become on the level of spec-ops units. All apart of a project he called the "Freelancers Program". Although they're tasked with missions, meant for in-general espionage, targeted sabotage, and mission-assistance to the corporation's Corporate Armed Forces, this unknown ringleader had another idea in mind. Unbeknownst to others, he sent a special contingent of them to the Sardia system. The closest to the galaxy's resident anomaly: The Photonic Curtain. A ring of pure photons, a curtain of light that interrupted the FTL systems of anyone who came even 100's of Astrons to its outer edge. Under the pretense of eliminating resistance from the galactic fringe-dregs known as the Pioneers, this special Freelancers contingent makes it way to the Sardia system. Supported by a small Corporate Naval escort. While they make for the surface of worlds like the swamp-world Coscia, this unknown head of state, plans to move them past the Photonic Curtain. Even if means he'll have to brute force the crossing, past the blinding lights that make up the curtain. As for you, those of the newest batch of Team Theta? You'll simply have to endure on Coscia. Whatever that entails, you have a mission to do. Best get to it. What you'll find in Freelancers a. An entirely unique and interesting world, complete with a full homebrew system that plays into the "Mercenary/Spec-Ops" gameplay of the setting. b. Lots of choices to make, and room to travel to unknown and previously unexplored systems and worlds. Beyond the outer shell of the "Photonic Curtain" c. NPCs that become your "Companions"; Those that'll join you in your missions, and fight alongside you. As well as having relational dispositions towards you and others, that you may influence and later find out about. d. Even as a Freelancer, your backstory and legacy impacts the lore of the world. e. Though serious enough, there are still light-hearted moments that may appear to cheer you up or give you a decent chuckle f. And a lot more for you to find out about! Does any of this, or all of it, sound excellent to you? I hope so! DM me if you are, and if you can, include any further questions you may have about the roleplay. I hope to see you soon, Freelancer!
