Old-timer who enjoys collaborative character-driven narratives! Preference I love long theatrical games with small groups of three or four where trust replaces the need for contraints. Where the focus is collaborating on building a story, developing characters, navigating social intrigue, diving into schemes and just having fun being creative together. Where the world and the cast is believable and relatable to some degree. I might lean towards the more serious, dark and dystopian games but I absolutely enjoy the occasional organic comedy, absurd situations and lots memes on the side. As a contrast, my least favourite games are those with large groups that's all about combat, optimising, winning and doing progression in a strict system. I prefer when everyone is on cam and I'm used to playing bi-weekly games of 3-4 hours. It's a good fit for me but I am not married to it. Playstyle I like to describe my character's actions in third person, speak as them and take some liberty to describe negligible parts of a scene when it involves my character. I like to stay in-character as much as possible and acting along a little bit on camera but I can adjust to most ways of playing. I'm very aware of the meta layer in games, all the unspoken information that goes on behind the scenes that can help setup spotlights and great moments, not just for my own character but for everyone at the table. I love setting other players up to shine and being as inclusive about the group as possible. I don't like when someone wanders off or doesn't get any spotlight. Also a big fan of lines and veils, and handling friction constructively post-session. Experience I've been into roleplaying games since the turn of the millenia where my curiosity was initially sparked by AD&D and Black Isles videogames. Since then I've played dozens of systems and spent possibly thousands of hours at the table as both player and gamemaster but I've put a pause on running games in recent years until my health is better. I've been into all the crunch of D&D and Pathfinder, the more deductive and psychological games like Delta Green, Eclipse Phase and the varities of World of Darkness, and lately I've been dabbling in more collaboration focused games like Blades in the Dark and The Wildsea. About me I'm in my forties and retired. I got a lot of free time which I'd like to spend more of on TTRPGs. It gives me a lot of flexibility for game sessions and I'm happy to spend time on all the practical stuff around games as well to take some of the load off what usually falls on the gamemaster. I've been told I can be a little intense up front since I'm not the shy type and I can get passionate about games, but once people get to know me, they often find me pretty easy going. Aside from that, I should mention that I've suffered some damage to the cartilage around my throat that can make my voice strain during long sessions. Online Setup Stationary computer at a desk with a decent camera and headset, a stable internet connection, an extra cam (DroidCam+OBS) for peripherals if needed, and I got the entire place to myself, so hopefully no interruptions. Previous experience using Discord, roll20, Foundry VTT, Google Docs and Notion as online tools for games. Give me a poke if you think I'd be a good fit for your game! I'm Izzy. 28. They/it.  I have over 10 years of experience in the tabletop space. On/off over the years with playing as finding groups that stay together takes time.  I have played in 2 completed 5e dnd campaigns that lasted over 2 years separately. Rime of the Frostmaiden & a homebrew Strahd campaign.  I will happily play in 5e & 5.5e games, though I have had an increased interest in p2fe/p2fre!  Tabletop games i have liked and played, would play again: 5e, pf2e, Vampire the Masquerade, Monster of the Week, Monsterhearts, Wanderhome, Call of Cthulhu  Tabletops I have not played but would be interested in: Blades in the Dark, Scum and Villainy, other Powered by the Apocalypse games or Forged in the Dark games, pf1e, Werewolf the Apocalypse, other World of Darkness games, Cyberpunk Red, etc etc My main goal as a player is to be a group player, to be someone that is wholly on the team with the other players! I love the collaborative nature of tabletop most, and why I always hold myself to be flexible and prioritize everyone's enjoyment and keep the table flowing! My characrer ideas are always many, but playing a characrer to the T is not a priority in the sense; that if it disrupts the flow and story of the table or conflicts wirh the group? Then I scrap that idea or develop the character different to mesh better!

Let’s go on an adventure together! I'm looking for a free, cooperative, consent-based, story-focused TTRPG table. I enjoy character-driven games with party relationships, meaningful combat, exploration, mystery, downtime, and earned emotional moments. Ideal balance: about 50% roleplay, 30% combat, 20% exploration. I like sincere games with humor, but not constant bits, edgelord behavior, or main character syndrome. I fit best with players who share spotlight, cooperate, respect boundaries, and care about everyone’s character mattering. Consent and safety are important to me. Heavy themes, PvP, romance/flirting, sexual content, intense character conflict, or major effects on another PC should be discussed first. Lines and veils should be respected. I’m in Hawaiʻi Time / UTC-10. Weekends are best, and I prefer 2–3 hour sessions. I’m open to voice, PBP, or hybrid formats. Not a good fit for bigotry, disruptive rules-lawyering, non-cooperative play, unconsented PvP/romance/sexual content, trauma dumping, or using RPGs as therapy. Message me on Discord; I’m more responsive there. Please say you saw my Groupfinder post and send a short game pitch. Discord: goldaline

Hello!👋 My name is Drew. I'm a 50 year old gay 🏳️‍🌈 nerdy 🤓 school teacher 👨‍🏫 who loves to play tabletop RPGs and board games. I have been gaming and GM'ing since the 80's. My favorite RPGs are a Star Wars, Shadowrun, and superheroes. My least favorite is Cthulhu. But I will play just about anything if the company is laid back, friendly, and fun! I'm always looking for friends to game with! I run two gaming groups, one on Friday nights and one on Sunday afternoons.  But I want to game more! There are so many awesome games to explore and so little time!

Hi! All told, I only have about a year of experience playing and GMing, and it's been a looong time, so I'm sure I'm quite rusty. My time zone is CST and my schedule is open. I have no strong preferences when it comes to frequency of sessions, system, or setting. Back when my friends and I actively played, I mostly GMed, using DnD 3.0/3.5, with a little Spycraft on the side. Even though that was years ago, I've never stopped thinking about RPGs, listening to actual play podcasts like The Adventure Zone and Acquisitions, Inc., reading random supplements and forum posts, and playing video games based on tabletop systems/adventures. I love backstory, lore, and worldbuilding and enjoy combat and dungeoncrawling, too. I remember my very first RPG session, when I was a kid, immediately opened my eyes to the creativity and improvisation that the format allows. All I'd done in our first battle was ready my weapon and lightly wound an unlucky bandit... while the far more experienced players of the group spent their first few turns positioning themselves technically, slinging buffs and debuffs, and throwing a tarp over the intimidating-as-hell bandit leader and then setting it ablaze with a torch. I was astounded; I knew I had to have more. The Discworld and Hitchhiker's Guide series of books are dear to me, though I'm down for nearly any fantastical story and setting (much like Pratchett and Adams themselves). Potentially relevant-to-tabletop video game series I've enjoyed are The Witcher, Knights of the Old Republic, Fallout, Mass Effect, Dragon Age, The Elder Scrolls, Divinity, Baldur's Gate, Final Fantasy, World of Warcraft, Legend of Grimrock, and many more. I like to let other players choose their specializations first, so I can try to fill any gaps we have, then build the character's background and motivation from there. That way, everyone who really wants to play a specific role is happy and the group as a whole is well-rounded. Plus, it's just fun to mix things up from game to game, so I've never really had a favorite class, though I do enjoy playing support (gotta have a healer/medic!). If you have the patience to help me shake off the rust and adapt to your setting and system, I'll do as much or as little reading, roleplaying, and rolling as you need. Ugh, this is really starting to sound like a sales pitch, ha ha... sorry. I'll finish by simply saying that I'm excited to meet you and see what adventures you've got brewing!

Hello! I'm a Melbourne-based player looking for a group who can meet online or in-person in east Melbourne. I'm a long-time tabletop enthusiast who has run a lot of Apocalypse World and Blades in the Dark, but between full-time job and moving cities lost my regular groups. Would love to play with a group of like-minded folks who are into storygaming and don't mind evening sessions, online or offline!
