Test Chamber: Outgunned – Three Movie Campaign

Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Mondays, 21:00–00:00 UK local time (BST/GMT). Groupfinder doesn't provide a UK time zone that automatically accounts for the clock change. The game will always run at 21:00 UK local time. Hello, my name is James. I’m a GM from the UK. I've been a GM for a very long time and enjoy running games for people. I run a stream called Test Chamber, where we play many different systems. I'm looking for reliable players who collaborate well and communicate when they can't make a session. Someone who enjoys roleplaying with the other players, shares the spotlight with their fellow players, and even brings them up so everyone looks better. Someone comfortable playing with new faces, forming friendships, and supporting one another! OUTGUNNED In a world where ruthless Villains plot in the shadows to steal nuclear launch codes and bring entire nations to their knees. A world where high-speed ski chases end with you leaping off a mountain with a Union Jack parachute, infiltrating a volcanic lair before everything ends with a gun battle, and engaging in espionage as you break into a safe that holds an invitation you need to get to an exclusive party. Outgunned lets you play as the action hero, but not alone; you have a group of individuals with their own unique abilities and specialities. One is a gun-toting walking arsenal, another a hacker who knows kung fu, while another could sell ice cubes in the Arctic Circle with their words. Another might be a card shark who could run rings around anyone in Vegas. THREE MOVIE CAMPAIGN This isn't a one-shot; I plan to run a trilogy of three connected action movies using the same Heroes throughout. You'll create your Heroes together in the first session, then take them through all three movies, giving them time to develop, advance, and build relationships with the rest of the team. The first movie is Project Medusa. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to destroy Project Medusa. What is Project Medusa? Who is behind it? And why are people willing to kill to keep it secret? Finding those answers is your problem. Project Medusa will be followed by a second movie, adapted from Fate Makes No Promises, before finishing with an original third movie that brings the Heroes' story together and concludes the trilogy. I'm allowing plenty of time for each movie because I don't want us to rush through them just to reach the end. We enjoy roleplaying and character interaction, so while Outgunned is full of big cinematic action, there will also be time for the Heroes to actually get to know each other. THE STREAM Test Chamber streams live on Twitch and later uploads to YouTube. You do not need a webcam. Instead, each player has their character portrait on screen, which reacts when they speak. You will need a decent microphone and somewhere reasonably quiet to play. You don't need any previous streaming experience either. If you've never played a TTRPG on stream before, that's absolutely fine. INTERESTED? If you're interested, fill out the application form: https://forms.gle/CyuzbpM9TtRvKdKm8 The form isn't about finding the person with the most RPG experience. It's there to help me find people who I think will work well together. If your application looks like a good fit, we'll have a short Discord voice chat so we can meet, talk about Test Chamber, and you can ask me questions too.

Blades in the Dark: The Red Dawn

Adult
The table is for players who are 18 or over.
No paid games
On a player profile - you are looking for free games and are not interested in paid ones.
About the Game Blades in the Dark is a tabletop roleplaying game about a crew of audacious scoundrels seeking their fortunes on the haunted streets of an industrial-fantasy city. There are no heroes here—you play as criminals, outcasts, and survivors navigating a grim metropolis trapped in eternal darkness, surrounded by restless ghosts and a corrupt regime. The game runs on the fast-paced, narrative-driven Forged in the Dark system. Instead of getting bogged down in endless math, it focuses on daring heists, flashbacks, creative problem-solving, and dealing with the messy consequences of your criminal lifestyle. About the Crew: "The Red Dawn" We are playing as The Red Dawn, a Bravos crew. While other gangs might stick to quiet burglaries or smuggling, your crew thrives on intimidation, violent enforcement, and direct action. However, you aren't just common thugs for hire—The Red Dawn are freedom fighters fighting the system. You are pushing back against the oppressive authorities, corrupt nobles, and ruthless factions tightening their grip on the city. Expect a gritty mix of high-stakes heists, bloody turf wars, and revolutionary defiance against a world that wants to keep you down. Campaign Status & Who We're Looking For Current Status: We have already played a couple of sessions, so the group dynamics are forming, and the world is starting to react to our crew's actions. New Players Welcome: Don't worry if you missed the very beginning! It is very easy to jump right into an ongoing Blades in the Dark campaign. Whether your character is an existing ally breaking out of prison, a fierce new muscle brought into the fold, or a specialist looking to join the cause, we will weave you seamlessly into the narrative. Vibe: Collaborative, cinematic, character-driven, and focused on having fun together while our scoundrels bite off way more than they can chew. Interested? If you want to spark a revolution with a sharp blade and a stubborn streak, leave a comment below or send me a message telling me a bit about your TTRPG experience and what kind of scoundrel you'd love to play!

New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Take up residence in one of Night City's wildest cargo villages: Dock Cargo Community. Dodge bullets, eat kibble, try to make rent. Docksiders is a game intended to run as a campaign following a group of edgerunners who live in one of the more colorful neighborhoods of Night City: Dock Cargo Community. Nestled between Docks 16 and 17 in the port district of Night City, this small container village sees as much City foot traffic as it does sea traffic. This game will see you taking your edgerunner(s) through a series of jobs and side hustles they need to fund their stylish and dangerous lifestyle. You can expect to see content from both official sources and custom content as well as the ability to plan your own jobs should you acquire the skill and the reputation. Take big risks, take big rewards. But be warned, Night City is an unforgiving place and it would be foolish for anyone to think they will live forever. I use the StartPlaying platform to run this game and you can find the sign-up link here: https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmr9j3hnv004ql504i6herb2t?ref=cmox97rts0032jx04sp2wo0xq You can expect about 15$ per session and a long-form campaign taking you through a sandbox world of Night City.

GOBLIN TOWN: Build your own town of goblins!

Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
GOBLIN TOWN: Build and run your own town of goblins! Gather a hoard, cause mayhem, cast dark rituals, discover things deep in the earth, slay heroes, and work towards your master plan! [Story-Focused] [Roleplay-Heavy] [18:00 CET] [17:00 GMT] [12:00 EST] If you're interested, fill out the survey here: https://forms.gle/uKDg8hrzdiNeHm7K6 f you're selected, the next step will be a 15 minute Discord call. # A Court of Goblins: Goblins are deeply flawed creatures, driven by base desires. There are those, however, who are able to keep their baser impulses in check, rally others to their cause, and focus on a grander scheme. You play a group of them that, in understanding there is strength in numbers, have banded together to use your ill-gotten gains build a great goblin town deep in the Feywild. You gather a hoard, cause mayhem, cast dark rituals, and discover long forgotten things deep in the earth, all while working towards accomplishing your master plan. This is a game about goblins using ill-gotten gains to build a town. You build traps and other defenses to keep the hoard you gather out of the hands of the greedy adventurers coming to steal it away. Find out just how long you can survive against the inevitable onslaught of heroism your deeds bring. Find out why goblins need to hoard all that gold, who builds all those traps, and how much fun killing adventurers is. However, you’re not just monsters randomly causing chaos and mayhem. Goblins come and go, but the town outlives them, binds them together, and gives them a purpose. You map it out in detail as it’s built, then breathe life into it through play with events like revelry after a victorious raid, calamity striking as a tunnel collapses on your minions, or facing off against adventurers who dare enter your land. Your town is the main character of this story. # Town Themes Every town is built around a theme, determined by its central building, chosen together as a group before the town is built. The theme gives you a set of buildings that you can build within it. The theme keeps players all on the same page thematically, allowing you to design characters that fit in well with the theme or fill a unique niche, as well as choosing steps in your master plan that go along with the theme. The choice of town theme is a statement about what kind of things the players want to do in the game. You can choose from the following central buildings, which determine your theme: **Enclave:** Tapping Into the Arcane. Choose this if you want your town to be **mystical** from top to bottom. Its core feature is its twisted landscape, corrupting the area surrounding your town. An Enclave lets you build the following: academy, crucible, greenery, library, potion lab, scrying pool, and spawning chamber. **Forge:** The Power of Industry. Choose this if you want a town full of **monstrous inventions** and steampunk tech. Its core feature is its power source, boosting the productivity and defenses of your town. A Forge lets you build the following: alchemist lab, guild hall, factory, mineshaft, testing chamber, vehicle bay, and workshop. **Hideout:** Keeping Your Head Low. Choose this if you want to work as a cohesive unit and **manipulate** the other factions of the region. Its core feature is agents of chaos, allowing you to strongly influence other factions. A Hideout lets you build the following: dojo, gambling den, gear locker, obstacle course, planning room, roost, and tavern. **Stronghold:** Through Strength of Arms. Choose this if you want to face challenges with pure **military might**. Its core feature is warband, giving you a powerful minion that can raid the region. A Stronghold lets you build the following: barracks, bestiary, fighting pit, funeral pyre, smithy, war drums, and war room. **Temple:** Serving a Greater Power. Choose this if you want to focus on a certain **god and their domains**. Its core feature is divine intervention, which you can use to cast a powerful spell from your god. A Temple lets you build the following: altar, antechamber, augury circle, dormitory, reliquary, penance chamber, scriptorium. # The Details **Age:** In general, we're looking for people between 21 and 9000. **Content Warnings:** This campaign contains dark drug use, grim humor, minor horror, strong language, violence, and lawyers. **Day:** We'll be playing on Sundays, though we'll occasionally host optional sessions on other days based on player interest. **Frequency:** We'll usually have 2 sessions per month, though we may have 3 if it's one of those strange months with 5 Sundays. **The GM:** I'm originally from Atlanta, but I move around a lot for work. I like snowboarding, stage acting, novels, and tabletop games. I've been GMing for a few years, but I'm new to playing online. I'm male and gay in real life, though I play all sorts of characters in games. **Length:** We generally average around 4-5 hours per session. **Location:** We'll be playing online using Discord and Owlbear Rodeo. We're new to OR, so if you have experience with that, we'll be asking you a lot of questions. **Start Date:** September 27 or October 4th, 2026  **System:** The game we're playing is called *Wicked Ones*, which is a simple, story-focused system. You don't need to be familiar with this system as we'll be teaching as we play. **Size:** Our plan is to have 5 total players. **Time:** We'll be playing at 18:00 CET / 17:00 GMT / 12:00 EST / Whatever time that is where you live. **What We're Looking For:** This is a roleplay heavy, story focused campaign for players looking to get in character, give their character a unique voice, explore their character's motivations, and give their character an arc. If you're interested, fill out the survey here: https://forms.gle/uKDg8hrzdiNeHm7K6 f you're selected, the next step will be a 15 minute Discord call.

New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Survival horror, sci-fi  campaign based on the indie game "SIGNALIS" , played with  modified cp-red meccanics. [This table usses a slightly Faster PbP format , especially when It comes to in game conversations] ________________________________ You will find yourselves on the frozen moon of Rotfront, where the Hayades multi-function maintenance station has ceased communication with the outside world and things are taking a strange turn... all while a mysterious state of emergency is declared. In this campaign, you can choose from a wide range of roles based on the survival horror game "SIGNALIS"—a sci-fi communist dystopia featuring retrowave technology. Your characters can be either a Replika (a biomechanical construct based on a mental pattern) or a Gestalt—an ordinary and "free" Eusan citizen. GAMEPLAY: -Roleplay -Combat and scarce resources: Although most CP mechanics will be heavily overshadowed by resource scarcity, the campaign's survival horror mechanics ensure there is never a dull moment. This campaign may contain: gore, sexual/psychological themes, and—above all—cosmic horror; madness is not a matter of "if," but of "how much." (18+) The campaign's homebrew content includes: -Races and models (Gestalt, Replika) -Changes to cyberware compatibility -Addition of a new weapon type (carbine) -Buffs to automatic fire and SMGs; changes to certain rates of fire -Various exotic weapons -Buffs to certain cyberware -Bioresonance mechanics Billing: of course you will never be asked to pay to play or to continue playng, but donations are wellcome and help me keep putting all the effort i put on the games i run. (A lot, too much probably)

Metrópole, Amazonia. 2074. A megacity sprawling between Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro with an estimated population of 250 million. Metahumans share the streets with shape shifters and other sapients. The great dragon Hualpa once kept careful watch over this city. However, after his disastrous war against Aztlan, he has sequestered himself. Many feel that his influence is slipping. You are a group of up-and-coming private investigators. A woman has scraped together her savings to hire you to investigate her sister's murder. As the layers of this mystery get pulled back, you will rub elbows and butt heads with many of the factions and personalities in this city. Can you pull Metrópole’s secrets from its gaping maw, or will it swallow you whole? -- *This Shadowrun game presents a more streamlined version of the 4e rules to retain all the tactics, equipment, and buckets of dice that you've come to love. But at the same time, it's leaner and faster (and also less broken). If you wish to know more, the full rules are available here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1yyMJ9Xmd7rTAlt_0VMhCrAM1RgVQj6JiHhzABUqLEaE/edit?usp=sharing Rules will be taught, though some SR experience is a plus. You will make your own characters using the Rookie baseline, though you will have plenty of character advancement opportunities as the game progresses. Your firm specializes in the underhanded tactics that win cases: tampering with evidence, threatening witnesses, corrupting juries, and delivering theatrical courtroom performances that would make any Silkshore actor jealous. Whether you're defending gangsters from Ironhook Prison, prosecuting high-profile criminals, or navigating inheritance disputes in the spectral Ghost Court, you'll use flashbacks, heists, and social manipulation to stack the deck in your favor before the magistrate bangs their gavel. Each session centers around a case, with the courtroom serving as your battleground. You'll roll engagement, present evidence (real or fabricated), cross-examine witnesses, and use competing clocks to determine who wins. Between arguments, you'll flash back to key moments: breaking into a records office, convincing a witness to change their testimony, or planting incriminating documents in your opponent's files. This game is perfect for players who enjoy social intrigue, creative problem-solving, and morally gray characters. If you like courtroom dramas, heist movies, and the dark Victorian aesthetic of Blades in the Dark, you'll feel right at home. We'll embrace the game's mechanics of flashbacks, devil's bargains, and collaborative worldbuilding to create memorable legal battles where the truth is whatever you can make the jury believe. Come prepared for sharp wit, dirty tricks, and the satisfaction of winning cases through cunning rather than justice.

The Greek Job

Hello! I'm looking to recruit 2 to 3 players for an online, bi-weekly game set in the Federation of Hellas (Greece). This will be a Shadowrun 2e game based in the year 2057. Knowledge of Shadowrun 2e is not necessary, and I can teach you as we play (so, newbies welcome). I haven't played 2e for awhile, so I may be a bit rusty! The pitch? An eccentric fixer has put out a call for shadowrunners for a series of jobs in the Mediterranean. The job? Retrieve three pieces of a book and return them to the Johnson, no questions asked. Characters will utilize the SR2e book (no expansions at the start). Euro based characters with skills in swimming, diving, boat piloting, etc. will be encouraged, because this game takes place in and on the Mediterranean. A Session Zero to make characters and run a simple run is planned. I'm looking to run Sunday nights from 7:30pm Eastern Standard Time, running til about 11:30pm or so. If you're interested, PM me here or on Reddit. Thanks for reading!

Playtest
The game is still being tested, and your feedback is part of the point.
Where: Discord/Roll20 Seattle. 2073. You are a group of experienced shadowrunners who have made a name for yourselves in this corrupt city. For those who can afford it, you have already tipped the scales in local affairs a few times now. Your list of allies and enemies grows by the month. A Mr. Johnson who works for Ares Macrotechnology's local R&D department has approached you for a job. He wants his boss's position, and he needs your help doing it. The job? Infiltrate one of the AAA megacorp's testing facilities in the Cascade Mountains, steal the sole existing blueprints for a new weapon, escape, and turn them in to Mr. Johnson. Then he will play the hero once he produces the blueprints a week later, making his boss look massively incompetent in the process. It's a simple job. In and out. What could go wrong? -- This Shadowrun game presents a more streamlined version of the 4e rules to retain all the tactics, equipment, and buckets of dice that you've come to love. But at the same time, it's leaner and faster (and also less broken). If you wish to know more, the full rules are available here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1yyMJ9Xmd7rTAlt_0VMhCrAM1RgVQj6JiHhzABUqLEaE/edit?usp=sharing Rules will be taught in media res, though some SR experience is a plus. We will play for 60-90 minutes, take a 10-15 minute break once you make your plan, and then finish the rest of the 4-hour session. This is a one-shot playtest for a game I'll be running at a convention in a few weeks. Be aware that the rules are still in alpha, so there could be some roughness. But I assure you that these rules are still a lot smoother than the official ones. If you ever wanted to play Shadowrun but were put off by the official rules, this game is for you! If you're interested in playing, please apply here. We're still looking for a couple more players.

Soon to be started campaign, currently have 4 players.  we will be making use of the new 2077 content so the game will be more in line with cyberpunk after Red rather then the more scarce resource game of red. More cash flying around but expensive products will still be hard to achieve. I as a gm like to think I do a good balance of Combat and rp. I have run games for over 10 years but have been wanting to get a good cyberpunk game running a some point since I enjoy the setting. The game will be played over the Forge vtt using Discord for voip.

Very interested in getting together a group to play cyberpunk, shadowrun, lancer, or perhaps starfinder. Any edition of any of these is fine with me, just looking for some good old dark sci fi gaming. I'd rather not gm but if push comes to shove I could be persuaded. I've been playing 5e for about 4 years and have only one session experience with lancer and with cyberpunk red, but I'm down for something crunchy and tactical. Hit me up :)
